On Friday at shaler properties i was picking up a package for the past resident (They lived there for over 10+ years). The package was opened and the content was taken by someone, from someone who most likely had a business to go to the apartment (most likely the one of the supers) (since the neighbors here are very friendly and wont steal stuff) when arriving to pick up the package the packaged was opened and content was taken/stolen.
Called today, and got told someone will call me back. The maintenance manager called me back and was was very defense about the package and tried to stir the conversion on something that was irrelevant? And kept dodging the question about the package.
He was yelling and being very unprofessional, assuming he knew he did something wrong. Its sad to see because the friends who lived here told me they would probably keep package safe but this didn't happen.
I would advise other's to keep track of incoming packages incase they get "lost" and they try accusing you for something you didn't do.
What they took was something worth over $300+ and they won't do anything with it.
edit: the male maintenance manager is on a power trip and think the world goes around him. I asked for his information like a cell phone to file a police report about the stolen package (since he is the manager) but he wanted to attack me and ended the call. you can say he stole the past resident package.
Be careful.

However the management itself doesn’t and they lack organization.
When we moved in they gave us the wrong mailbox key that belong to our neighbors mail box and failed to obtain all needed documents. After failing to obtain all needed documents, they charged us for not having rental insurance. When we showed Lauren proof that we had renter insurance from the day we started renting the apartment. I requested this charged be removed but she refused and also said “it will be taken out of the security deposit” if I did not pay it. It took them months to fix our air conditioning during the summer . We had to call multiple times in order to get it fixed and the only reason why it got fixed was because my husband went into the office and threaten to withhold rent. On multiply occasions they have sent me a message about a balance that does not belong to me. I got a text message on 8/27 saying that I can make an online payment for all fees due. When I go in today to make payment. I’m locked out of my account. I texted them first thing in the morning and no response. I had to call the office in order to get an answer, and the receptionist informed me that they do not check there messages till the afternoon. The issue here is that they informed me via text that I can make an online payment. when in fact my account is locked And the only way to make a payment is by money order .

Read moreI live in the Garden apartments on Shaler Boulevard on the Bagel shop side Wednesday the management had removed all of our lighting in the back in the front the whole entire development here all the lights were taken down come nighttime you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face complete blackness The building adepartment was called they told us to call the building inspector, the building inspector was called several times and did get back to the president of the tennis organization and said he would notify the management ,a concerned neighbor Jason walked by and it was pitch black here and he had called John the maintenance manager and Martin Pearson maintenance and the fire department and they came the fire department Martin came and then somehow the mayor was notified and if it wasn’t for Martin and Jason who put these lights up so that we would have a walkway that was lit when you wouldn’t fall in the front yard that you can walk out there not be afraid to see if anybody was there I have never felt so insecure as I have being in complete darkness here. It is now Monday evening and still no management no building inspectors nothing we still have the lights that Jason and Martin put up had it not been for Martin . With the maintenance department to give the tenants lights , he took safety measures in his own hands , Martin he stepped up , and he made sure that we did have some lights here that we could see that we weren’t in complete darkness the , Martin went above and beyond any maintenance responsibilities, for the tenants safety it is so hard for me to believe that management would do this to the tenants....
