The market was fantastic. They had a wide variety of local fruit and vegetables, a local cacao vender, plenty of juice stands, a couple bakeries, all the art vendors from Thursday, and my favorite, a local family that makes cheese from their cows. My only regret was not buying more cheese!
For fruit, we brought home Mamey Sapote (Three on top), Guayaba (guava), a coconut, dried starfruit, and something else I forgot the name of (maybe Jobo?) but is delicious!
We also brought home pickled local sweet peppers, which are incredible, that epic local cheese, and some tomatoes a guy grew in his backyard.
Most of the local bars and restaurants are open at the same time as the market, and the vibe is comfortable happy community island life.
