The guys we picked up from were really rude. When we came to pick up, they told us to back the truck up in front of the store. We parked where they told us to. They get the couch into the back, then me and the person assisting me with the move (a woman of about 5'4") start trying to get the couch strapped in and secured. For about 5-7 minutes we are trying to re-thread a piece of equipment to properly secure the sofa. During this time there are about 4 men standing around very close and staring at her the whole time. Greg comes over and starts giving unsolicited advice, as men often do in these situations when there is a woman involved. Nothing useful, just that the couch cushions will come off on the drive. Wow. Genius. Thanks Greg. She politely tells him that we've got it, thank you. So another minute goes by with them all staring and she finally asks "are we in the way? Do we need to move?" And Greg says "that would be nice." Even though we were parked where they told us to park and it had been less than ten minutes. We pull the truck completely away from the store and continue trying to secure the sofa. Another couple minutes go by and another guy comes up and asks if we need help. For about the third time we say no, we got it. Thanks. These guys were very pushy and very rude. Don't be a woman and try to pick anything up from here. The men will think you're confused and stupid and when you refuse their help they'll be...
Read moreThis has got to be my favorite shop in the entire Albuquerque area! I've never cared too much for what I can find in the retail furniture stores and I certainly don't like the prices. Carol has great taste and is very careful about what she brings into the store. I stop by pretty much every Saturday to visit with Greg and see what's new. So far this year I've bought a curved sectional sofa with a round hassock, an overstuffed chair, a leather swivel chair with a footstool, two area rugs, an entertainment center for my TV, 2 (matching) media cabinets, 2 side tables, a woven screen, three lamps, two swivel, adjustable height bar stools and a number of framed pictures and other wall art. Almost everything in my living room came from Furniture Cottage and I love it all...I just wish I had a bigger house. I"m sure I wouldn't have too much...
Read moreI love the Furniture Cottage. My girlfriend and I go there every Saturday just to look and admire the many furniture items, many of which, in my estimation are extremely reasonable. I am impressed by the quality of the items in relation to their cost. I have bought a number of low cost items there that I couldn't ever find in a retail store. If in fact I could, I most likely wouldn't be able to...
