Their prices are decent, no complaints there! However, the customer service is a little lacking. I'm not sure if it's because they are short staffed or if they just don't care.
My most recent experience was as a seller. I brought in some stuff was told they would message me the offer, awesome shorter wait than expected they explained everything I'm on my way to the next stop!
Pick-up is where it all falls apart, also why I'm giving 2 stars. They walk up to you with a paper saying the same thing the text says, except they don't show you what they are keeping for that price!
Then let's talk about the pricing system in regards to me the seller. I did ask to see what they were keeping!
They had a box of old books and another box with 38 vinyl albums from the 60's and 70's before they used bar codes. On the slip it said around $12 for all 38.
When I questioned why that was so low for so many albums the clerk tells me, well they don't have barcodes so we have no why to price them so we pay $0.30 a album. Flat out because we CAN'T SCAN them!
I did a simple Google search and found 1 single album, the lowest price it was selling for was $10.99 and in pour condition without the protective sleeve. My album is not scratched inside a wax sleeve inside the protective case. Lowest price I saw for it was $35. Did all that with a simple Google search! Mind you, this is an album they are trying to buy from me for $0.30 because there was NO BARCODE to SCAN on albums BEFORE they used them.
So that was a hard pass I'll sell them online. Then the books I know they took a lot of old texts and other books but, I was ready to get out of there. So I didn't even bother with them, took the $19 and started loading my truck they told me I had everything and that was that.
I get home and am unloading my truck and they had not given me some media back so now I have to go back and deal with this, I get there and they found 1 box but couldn't find the rest. At this point I am just done! I take the box put it in my truck and left.
The prices are nice, the selection is nice, the customer service, selling experience, understaffing and handling of details is why I probably will not return.
There was no apology, just some young woman walking back and forth with a set of keys, doing who knows what, while I waited to find out what happened to the rest of my items!
I'm disappointed, I was so excited to have a place like this right down...
Read moreSuch a wonderful find, it had been far too long ago that I last had a pre-owned focused store for books OR video games, and here I found both.
The selling process was easy and painless, and they have a large selection of all their store trades in.
Unlike other stores, they carry older games and game systems, which is nostalgic, to be sure.
Price varies by demand and condition, obviously, but I was able to purchase a pre-owned Nintendo Switch for less than I had been able to find online, including console-only items, and the Switch I purchased included everything it would have new, with both joycon, the AC adapter and dock.
Even just window shopping is worth a visit, as their display cases devoted to collectibles and figurines is rather impressive, though mostly focused on anime, though there are also marvel, DC, and other US-based characters.
The store philosophy with selling what you once enjoyed, when you no longer want them, is simple: Let others find enjoyment in your...
Read more   Read moreThis store plays favorites & does not even give fair offers based on current value even when showing them the prices on THE SAME VALUATION PRICE INDEX (which is âPriceChartingâ) they use to determine offers when selling merchandise to them. They are thieving crooks, plain and simple. Last time I visited to help their inventory by selling them a few popular video games, I mentioned the current market rate ($10)to them right before the evaluation & went to see if they had any good books to read while waiting. After about 5 minutes they texted me an offer of $0.10 for the game I had checked for them right before the evaluation. They donât even test the games to make sure there are no problems. Just arbitrary lowball buying offers where they try to gouge you instead of profit share. Avoid selling to them at all costs. Or it may cost you dearly. eBay Bookoff...
