This review is specifically for the “story time with ducks” people (a young ish couple, the woman had curly hair with purple ends, I attached a photo of her) from today 08/05/2024 at 11 am. My 18 month old is a huge fan of ducks, she loves anything ducks so of course we were excited to come to this event. Only to be disappointed when the woman wouldn’t even look at us when she was picking who could go up to pet the duck. The way she did it was 10 kids can go up at a time and every time she told us to raise our hands if we hadn’t gone up yet, we did and she wouldn’t even look our direction. After two rounds of kids going up, I decide to move my daughter up a little more to see if we can get her attention and after FOUR rounds (that’s 40 kids that already had a turn), we still weren’t picked even though we were right behind the spot they were letting the kids pet the duck. I hate to say it but I’m sure she was racist as my daughter and I are Asian, everyone else there was Caucasian. We left after 25 mins of just sitting there waiting while everyone else got a turn. Do better. The lady that’s usually in charge of play time is very kind unlike these people that came in today but I won’t be bringing my child back to this...
Read moreThe Riverton Library can be a great place to go! They have a wide selection of books and movies and so much more! The staff is pleasant and they keep the library nice and clean and organized. My only issue, which is a big issue for me personally, is how incredibly loud the library is. It isn't always loud, but the majority of the time I can't even effectively study as there are numerous children who are screaming and crying and running around.
