We had our daughters reception at The Old Dome last Friday evening. The evening was great, but we were not informed prior to the event that Friday evenings are 'Food Truck Fridays.' All along, during the planning of our reception, we were told to park our photo bus on the west side of the building, but when we arrived to set up Friday morning we saw the signs for the food truck event on that same side with a notice that the parking would be closed at 3 that day. When we asked the staff where we were to park the bus they told us we could still park it out there... we were not providing a photo bus for their food truck event so we insisted that they let us park it out front instead. It ended up working out fine, but we just lacked enough parking for our guests because of the food truck event. The evening staff was great, but the morning staff, as we were setting up, was not very friendly or accommodating. Aside from that, however, it was a great, reasonably priced place to hold...
Read moreThe building was a decent place for a reception, but the office person signing us up was very unfriendly and the cleaning lady afterwards was crazy! She insisted we do far more than was on the check off list. We're pretty sure she was having us do her jobs. Also, we were not told that one of the parking lots would be closed to us due to food truck night until one day after it was too late to get our money back. Guests just had to walk farther, but would've been nice if they had been up...

And even with the chairs going 6 rows back on each side of an aisle, my normal speaking voice was heard all they way to the very back. No mic is needed under the dome.
