I know many people write reviews soon after their flowers arrive, or soon after the event is over. I've chosen to wait until the flowers started to wilt. And that took 11 days! I'm amazed that I had 11 days of beauty.with this bouquet. I faithfully followed the instructions on how to care for them, and now 11 DAYS LATER, most of the flowers still have a few more days of life. But a few are spent. I've received George's lovely flowers before. This past summer when my fiancƩ, Dan, was in the hospital, my daughter used George's for an arrangement to be sent to Dan. Those flowers were incredible! George's arranged then so that the flowers would stagger their openings. When one kind of flower was spent and I removed them, the next goup of flowers (like the roses) would just be in full bloom. And when those were wilting, I removed them and the next group would open, in this case the white lily bulbs, and they exploded wide open. I brought some canna lilies from my garden, added them and left the arrangement at the nurses station. George's gave instructions with the flowers to daily change the water and trim the stems when needed. I also rinsed the vase daily, rinsed off the stems daily and trimmed the stems as they got soggy. But i think their extended life had little to do with me. George's uses freshly cut flowers. And from that first bouquet, I became a big fan of this wonderful floral designer. So when Dan passed away and i needed various arrangements, of course I turned to Georges again. I wanted an arrangement for one of the tables at the reception, to represent our love, and I chose their sunshine bouquet. Every morning, Dan would kiss me and say, "Good morning, Sunshine!" And George's never disappoints. They used freshly cut flowers, healthy and lovely, well arranged and delivered early. And remarkably affordable. Today I'll have to rearrange the flowers from 2 of George's bouquets, consolidating the healthy ones down to 1 bouquet. But I'm so impressed they lasted so long, with most of them still going strong. One of the hardest parts after a funeral is when the people leave and the flowers die. People have lovingly been checking in on me. And thanks to George's, I still have beautiful flowers. Thanks again for your care, for using only the best, freshest flowers but also for your meticulous attention to detail. I'm truly grateful! PS... this bouquet is 10 days old in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreššššš Georgeās FlowersāAbove and Beyond! Iām in Marietta and called Georgeās Flowers in Roanoke hoping to send my mother something truly special for her 80th birthdayāa mix of cut flowers and a plant, but honestly, I didnāt have a clear vision. I just wanted her to say āwow.ā From the moment they answered the phone, they made that happen. The person taking my phone order asked thoughtful, theme-based questions to guide my decision, and genuinely felt my sadness that I couldnāt be there in person. What they produced is breathtakingāa gorgeous arrangement with gourmet chocolates that was designed and created in less than 45 minutes after my call. Thatās not just service; thatās magic. Ordering from out of state can be a gamble, but Georgeās Flowers exceeded every expectation with their creativity, empathy, speed, and attention to detail. They helped me express love and celebration from miles away, and I couldnāt be more grateful. My mom will be āwowed!ā
**Update: About the time I finished posting the review aboveā¦I received a photo of my mother and her beautiful arrangement. I am beyond impressed with the level of customer care and quality of creation. I canāt remember the last time I felt this positive about a floral purchase. Flowers are not inexpensive, and when you order online or over the phoneāitās a gamble. I stopped ordering my mother flowers because of poor quality or untimely deliveries and, after years being disappointed. I canāt recall feeling this positive and appreciative of any business in a very, very long time. Within two hours from my call, my mother received a gorgeous floral gift. And, she said...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethe end result (first photo) was pretty but it was not with out an extra effort from myself and an initially irritated customer service agent from Georges. I will admit my tone may have been one that could cause a negative reaction however I'm sure you could agree that when you are purchasing flowers it is usually for a special occasion. When your order doesn't resemble what you took the time to choose, it is in fact irritating (to say the least). The order was asked to come out as early as possible (I asked for 9am) by 1030 I got a photo (2nd photo) of what they were going to send (late) and (as you can see) it was absolutely full of filler greens (because the vase I had chose was not in stock- this was not discussed with me previously, or at all. it was not brought up until I expressed the bad feeling I was getting out of this experience with this flower service. a lady from the office ( who was reluctant to say she was in management so I'm not sure if she was or if she just thought it sounded better) to personally apologize for the arrangement that they were about to send out (late) and she informed me that they will be remaking it into the picture shown above.āāthe flowers were very pretty however they showed up when I was on my lunch break and the office was unable to share the occasion together. while the effort made to make up was okay no offer of reimbursement was made (in anyway- not even a coupon for 10% off my next order) no gesture other than remaking the arrangement was made. This makes me feel like what is right for Georges customers does not matter as much as what the cost of business...
