The mall has been around for many years and has a great atmosphere but it seems that some businesses have been infected with insanity for example the Bobby cheesy pizza place , it's the absolutely the worst place I've ever been in . The best $15 pepperoni was a RIP off and flavor wise was the worst pizza I've ever had. I'll never buy anything from them again. Right close to them is a place called Bubble cakes, I walked in for the first time today and the place smelled great and the cupcakes were highly decorated but when I asked how much their products were ," well ,talking about sticker shock , they wanted $2 for a mini cupcake the size of a quarter and they want $4 for one normal cupcake. Needless to say ripoff alarms were going off in my head and I find it very offensive they would even think about robbing the public like that. It seems Bobby chessy and bubble cupcakes have caught some type of virus and lost their mind .I will never go into either one again . Chipotle is a great place, to eat and they are very nice, it's a good value for the burrito, Sweet frog is a very nice place too just a touch expensive but they are very friendly and I like the buffet style set up with the toppings before check out. Fire house subs is good too , slightly pricey but it smells great and the Italian sub rocks. The staff is really nice and they give you a free sub on your birthday. Mission barbecue really cares about veterans and I really love them . They give free desserts to vets when you order a meal . Excellent pulled pork and such a friendly staff that really cares about people. I have been going to the Geat Wall chinese restaurant since 1993. I love their lunch specials , my favorite is general tso's chicken with steamed white rice and wonton soup for around $6 it's such a great value . Its something that I knew the original couple that started it and now their son runs the place , still great food and highly...
Read moreVisit Towers at least once a month. I ride the city bus, in a wheelchair. The bus has a nice stop at the bottom side of the center, with access to an elevator inside to take mobility pros to the upper level. For the better part, the center is mobility challenged accessable, however, there are 2 areas that can't be accessed safely for a wheelchair. They include an offshoot of the center containing A very good jewelry store, and a couple of restaurants. The second spot is the CVS pharmacy. I have to ride thru parking lots, with cars, which is kinda scary. Another spot (actually 3rd) is on the bottom level, again going to an outshoot that goes to a large accessory store, and med clinic. I spent several hours going from one end of center outcrops to the other end of outcrops during late COVID. Needed test at one, vaccine at the other. I wrote to the property owners, sent pics, and asked for help. 6 months later, no answer. My recommendation is to check if where you want to go is attached to the main building, great! If not, you might want to find somewhere owners are in touch with ALL of their...
Read moreGreat little mall just outside downtown. It's basically a triple strip mall (upper and lower malls and one to the side) with some interior space in the centre that connects the upper and lower. It also boasts several useful detached businesses. There are 3 salons in the mall, several great places to eat (including Mission BBQ.... Mmmmmmmm), an ABC store, a detached 24 HR CVS pharmacy, a Kroger super grocery, Kroger gas station, a great discount store (Tuesday Morning), and no gaping holes where businesses used to be. Vibrant, clean, and updated, plenty of parking and reserved curbside pickup for some businesses. ADA compliant parking and entrances. Walk in emergency clinic. Frontage, entrances and traffic lights on 3 streets (Colonial, Brandon and 23rd St). Multiple ATMs. Easy in and out, covered walkways. Honestly if we had nowhere else to shop in Roanoke (but we DO) you could get most everyday things done in this one place. Has thrived even during the pandemic. Well thought out mall,...
