Roanoke Skatepark — Attraction in Roanoke

Cool park a lot of things to do but at the skate park if you’re not kind of good at riding bike, scooter or skate board then don’t go there because it is hard to find a place where it is not hard to ride and there are a lot of people that are riding without a t-shirt or any shirt. Also there you can find a basketball court, soccer court and a play ground one more thing you can do there is just walk around because there are a lot of places where you can just walk around. One of the most unusual things there is kind of a water park it is free but it is kind of boring it is just water spraying from the ground...

Avoid this place outside of school hours. Parents like to use it as a daycare/playground and are not courteous to others who are actually using it as a skate park. This place was not built for your 5 year old to stand on a ledge spinning his scooter in the air.

The last time I went, these parents were having some sort of skate private lesson for their kid in the middle of the park when they could’ve just gone to a parking lot… the kid would stand in the worst place for extended periods of time while the parents just...

Nice park. However, when we took our young kids, 5, 7, and 8, there were a few guys there ranging in ages from 30-50+. I had been told the older crowd usually takes the time to help and mentor the younger crowd...not these "boys." They were throwing their skateboards on the grass and literally pouting because one of our kids happened to be in their way. They acted very immature. This park is for all ages and all skill levels. I hope you don't run in to those guys because it really is...
