Highly disappointed about our experience with my son’s birthday dessert. Save your money and go to Rosas Cafe, they have a large order of 8 sopapillas for $2.50. I could have gotten 16 sopapillas for $5 but I paid $25 for a miserable dozen that ended up in the trash can. My son loves sopapillas and would rather have them than cake. I ordered from this place as I do every year, however this time I ordered online versus in person. We live in Bedford but drive out to Roanoke because they had never disappointed until this time. 4 years ordering from this place only to be disappointed. I even asked on my ticket to ensure I had enough toppings. I normally order 2 dozen but this time I ordered 1 dozen and regardless, I received these tiny little containers for each order! My son did not eat not even one because he felt bad that if he ate, his siblings wouldn’t have toppings. I told him to eat it since he is the birthday boy but he said it was okay and I ended up ruining to the store to get a cake for the kids because this was just pathetic. In the past for 2 dozens we get 3 large whipped cream containers, 3 large fudge containers and 2 large caramel and 2 honey bears. Even if I would have just received 1 large container for my order of dozen I would have been okay. I wasn’t so on the very next day I took the untouched order to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I explained that I was unhappy and was requesting a remake of my order to make it right she said they couldn’t do that I told her I paid for a presentation and I always go there because they never disappoint but this time it was a terrible experience and needed her to make it right she said she was so sorry but she couldn’t do that, said I shouldn’t have ordered online and should have called in the order so they could have met my expectations but that this is how it is. I asked her if she could not remake my order could she give me a partial credit since I didn’t received what I normally do with my order. I said Rosas Cafe has these for way cheaper but I come to you because of the presentation and this time I am not happy. These tablespoon containers are pathetic to expect to top that on 3 sopapillas. She said oh I am sorry but I can’t do anything, you should have either come in to place your order at the bar or on the phone. I said I drove all the way out here, the least you can do is give me 1 whipped cream to make this right. I opened all the boxes to show her the order was untouched and again all she said was I am so sorry but I can’t do what you are wanting me to do. It took everything inside of me not to blow up on her or cause a scene. Please go review the camera footage, this was horrible customer service and the worst experience ever!...
Read moreWe took my family out for my father's 87th birthday. When we got ready to order. I asked the server if the cheese enchiladas had onions she said no. She then asked me if I wanted chili reno sauce or queso, on the enchiladas. I told her queso. She went around the table and took my husband's order last. When they brought out the food she brought me chicken enchiladas with queso, She brought out everybody else's food but not my husbands. She blamed it on the kitchen, but then she asked him again. It was beef quesadillas correct and he said yes. She forgot to put it into the computer and blamed it on the kitchen. 9 to 10 minutes later she brings out his food. We were trying to eat slow. My husband was up set. He talked to the manager about the issue. He asked if he could get a piece of cheesecake for my father, on the house. Since she did mess up my order and sent his out late. The manager came to our table and told my husband that they looked at the camera and said that it was about six minutes later when she brought out his meal. We know it wasn't six minutes. But even if it was, how long does it usually take somebody to eat. Even eating slow we were almost done. My husband was going to leave a $15 tip. But because these people couldn't even offer a piece of cheesecake for their mistakes, they are pretty lousy. We will not be going back to this place. We used to really like it. But their food wasn't even that great this time must be under different management. To the manager and the waitress you were wrong. Next time you sit down, see how long it takes you to eat. This place is not worth your time or money. They obviously don't care about...
Read moreChanging my 5 star review to 1 star after my experience tonight. Stay away if you have a child in need of a high chair. First of all I've been a regular at this restaurant for over 2 years. My husband and I always bring our 2 year old child with us and have never had an issue getting seated in a booth with my child's high chair at the end. So tonight we come in for dinner and the waitress first tries to seat us at a table. I ask for a booth because we always sit at a booth plus I'm 35 weeks pregnant and the chairs aren't as comfortable to me. She informs me that we can't be seated at a booth even though there are several available because the high chair is a "hazard". Excuse me, since when? If you've been to this establishment you know it's not cramped. There's plenty of room to get around a high chair which is why it's never been a problem before. Another waiter brings a high chair and tries to stick it all the way in the back corner at the worst table in the whole restaurant next to another family with a highchair they banished out of the way as well. Our high chairs would have literally touched back to back if we had sat there and we couldn't have gotten in and out of our seat due to being totally blocked by two children in high chairs. I felt like we were totally discriminated against because we had a child that needed a high chair. I told her we aren't going to be crammed in a corner like that and we walked out. How rude to treat us like that when there's NEVER been an issue sitting at a booth in the past, ever. We won't be coming in anymore if this is how we're going...
