Edit: The owner has reached out and has been very kind in listening to my concerns and offering to make it right. I appreciate this type of customer service and understanding. Thank you
I like the vibe of the salon, but had a bad experience. I am new to Texas and looking for a new salon so when I called to make an appointment, I told them I wanted a blonding specialist and they assured me the stylist I would be with was. The kind woman who answered the phone told me they would be very upfront with pricing and expectations and I could trust them.
I brought 5-7 pictures of my desired blonde (I'm already a natural blonde and just wanted it brighter - not white/grey - just brighter) and had a 10 minute consultation where the stylist had me sign a waiver acknowledging that inspiration photos were inspiration and that they can't always get you to your end goal in one session. I have no problem signing forms like these as I know it can be a touchy subject. During my consultation the stylist indicated she could help me, and I spent 4 hours and $360 (was never quoted like they told me I would be) to come out maybe a shade or two brighter, but honestly I could barely tell a difference.
At the end of my color, when she asked me what I thought, I said "This isn't what we talked about" to which she then stated for the first time "Well I can't get you what you want in one session". And that was it.
I am a very reasonable person. This was my first time away from my 4-week old, newborn son and and was looking forward to my appointment. All she had to do was be up front with me at the beginning of my session to say that she didn't think my blonde could get bright with one session (despite multiple other stylists since then telling me its no problem in one sitting).
I was so disappointed and saddened that despite my best efforts to be realistic with her and come prepared, it wasn't until I was unhappy that what I was looking for "couldn't be done" and that I had wasted 4 hours away from my newborn, to what I hoped would make me feel like me again.
This is just one stylist (Hanna), but I will not...

I was referred to the beautiful boutique style salon by a good friend with beautiful locks. I was specifically referred to the talented and sweet blonde specialist, Jardine. Since moving to DFW, I have searched for a little over a year for the perfect stylist, and I’ve finally found her.
From the start of the visit, the friendly Elle greets you and offers drinks while seating you on a comfy pink velvet couch to wait for a face to face consultation with your stylist. I have never had an experience where the stylist talks face to face about your visit. Typically they stare at you in the mirror and ask “what are we doing today?”. This one very small idea increases the communication about your hair desires 10 fold. It also allows for proper expectations of both parties and develops trust.
Jardine listened to my hair needs and very confidently delivered the blonde Balayage so many fall short at. She did an amazing job. Additionally, I’ve had a so-so cut for awhile, and I like to let my hair air dry. It had not “set” well for air drying. She cut it in a way that allows me to wear my curls naturally and air dried 24-7.
The entire salon functions as a team and they are obviously a close group which usually means there is great management and ownership leading from the top.
After my appointment went so well, I booked an appointment for my daughter. She has extremely thick and curly hair. Jardine cut and thinned it perfectly, and another colleague stepped in to help blow dry and straighten. They did a great job and my daughter was very happy with her cut.
Not only is the service impressive, but they also have a great points and referral system. For me, this means they care about retaining clients.

In the inconsistent customer service world we live in, I find so much comfort in knowing when I can rely on a business. And this salon is one of those special businesses that truly takes care of their clients, in the same way, every time. Which is by far one of the most important aspects of hiring a service. You know what you’re getting when you invest your time and hard earned dollars at Beauty Hive.
I was recommended to a stylist that works at Beauty Hive by a friend of mine, and I am so thankful she did! When I arrived, the front desk staff was so helpful and kind. I filled out my paperwork, sat down with Jardine (my stylist) and talked over our short and long term plans for my hair.
Not only is she an amazing stylist herself, but the entire staff at Beauty Hive was outstanding. As a business I can tell their focus is on customer experience. They even bring you out snacks and drinks, while consistently making you feel comfortable and pampered the entire time you’re there / start to finish.
I had my first extensions ever installed this last fall by Jardine, and the photos attached are after my first appt in September and after the extensions were installed in November.
Jardine has a great eye for design and is by far one of the most consistent hair artists I have worked with. Yes, ARTIST. Because if you check out her gram, you’ll see the hair she creates is absolutely beautiful and a true work of art. Not to mention she’s super friendly, upbeat, genuine and easy to work with.
Ladies, If you’re looking for a local salon that’ll make you feel like a million bucks, come on over. They will NOT...
