Charles Scott Salon & Spa — Attraction in Rocky River

I have been going to Charles Scott for 4 years now, specifically the Rocky River location for the last 2.5 years to see Kendall! She does an amazing job, is super friendly, and very personable.

When I got married this past June 2016 it was not a question where I was going to have all my ladies get get their wedding day essentials completed. Lindsey the bridal coordinator is prompt with responses and great at keeping you in the loop with your appointments. I enjoyed that they changed the deposit policy to just a percentage of the brides services rather than having to pay for the everyone's appointment up front like most salons do. Along with the possibility of getting deposit back if you meet a certain amount of service cost with your entire bridal party. For my hair, I actually was recommended Coryn from my usual Kendall because she is specifically amazing at braiding styles. That meant a lot to me that my regular stylist passed me off to someone who she knew would give me the perfect style rather than telling me she could do it to keep the appointment to her self over my happiness.

I've gone to Charles Scott for various services on and off for twenty five years. For the last couple of years I've been getting my hair cut and colored there. Twelve weeks ago I got a Keratin Treatment and it left my hair looking and feeling too good to be true. The upcoming weeks proved that it was indeed, too good to be true. My hair started falling out excessively. I brought it up to my stylist around week 5 or 6 and she told me it was probably hormonal and just a coincidence with the timing. Since then I've lost about 60% of my hair and I decided I needed to find a solution on my own - or possibly be bald. When I went back again for color (and to see if I should even be coloring what is left of my hair), she dismissed my experience and findings and explained that since the product isn’t applied to the roots, it couldn’t possibly make the hair fall out at the root. My internet research has also showed that my red, itching, burning eyelids and fiercely itching / burning scalp are also common side effects of Keratin Treatments. Moral of the story: don’t get this poison applied to your hair and if you do, don’t expect Charles Scott to admit there are any side effects. They’ve insulted my intelligence and I’m not going...

Everything was better than I had expected. The level of service you/Charles Scott provided was exceptional. I think may have received more compliments on my hair and makeup than I did on anything else (including the dress! ). My bridal party kept asking why I chose a salon so far away from us, and when we all got back to the hall I told them all to look in the mirror to see why I chose Charles Scott. Everyone’s hair was absolutely gorgeous and the girls who had an idea of what they wanted were blown away by what your talent was able to do for them. I don’t have enough words to explain my satisfaction and gratitude. Tina couldn’t have made my hair look any better, it was beyond perfect and more than I could have hoped for. Michelle is a true makeup artist and even at the end of the night I still looked absolutely flawless. I don’t typically think these things of myself so I have a very special place in my heart for both of these women and the confidence they gave me on my most perfect of days.
