Do not go to this location if you are a POC or minority!!
Let me preface by saying I generally do not write reviews of this nature, but my experience here on 9/7/2025 at around 3:00 PM was so egregious that I feel compelled to warn others.
I came in to collect a quick print order that I had submitted online. This included photos of my husband and me, along with forms containing sensitive application information (including credit card numbers). This was the second day in a row I had done this exact type of job with no issues.
From the moment I walked in, the attendant (a Caucasian woman) was cold, dismissive, and standoffish. Still, I expected this to be a quick, five-minute errand, so I made the choice to ignore it. Instead, she began openly reviewing my documents at the counter in front of another customer, despite the highly sensitive nature of the information.
She then proceeded to deny me service, stating that my order violated, and I quote, “family values.” The only “issue”? The photos were of my husband and me. Nothing explicit. Nothing inappropriate. Just standard personal photos. Her reasoning was not based on company policy,it was rooted in personal prejudice.
When I challenged her actions, she called the manager. The manager reviewed the order and, from what I could tell, found nothing derogatory or offensive. Still, the attendant doubled down, claiming she was acting under “the company’s terms of service.” I had already reviewed those terms before placing the order ( like I do with every place I do business) and checked again in-store. Nowhere do they support this kind of arbitrary denial of service.
The situation was humiliating, discriminatory, and frankly dangerous. My private information was exposed unnecessarily, and my dignity was undermined. I ultimately left and took my business elsewhere, but the damage was already done.
Incidents like this don’t happen in isolation. They happen daily to minorities, POC, and LGBTQ+ individuals, but experiencing it firsthand, in 2025, in a supposedly professional store like Office Depot, was deeply shocking.
If you are a minority, do not expect to be treated with respect at this location. My experience was textbook discrimination, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this...
Read moreI would give a lower amount of stars, but I had a good experience and a bad experience literally days after the other. First time I went in the staff was very helpful. 1/21/17. Had a few pages printed and staff was very helpful and even gave me some good pointers to make my next visit even easier. Two days later, today 1/23/17, I go in and there are 3 people behind the counter. Two were finishing up with their customers, the other guy was on the computer. After a few minutes, the employee who had no customer, acknowledged me and said it would be just a few more minutes....12 minutes later he asks what I need. He starts gathering my files off my jump drive and then asks one of the other guys to help me out so he can go to lunch. The other guy that took over seemed completely lost, had to do 2 tests prints just to know if the double side printing was going to come out upside down or not. After he figured that out, he finished my printing job. As I was waiting to get checked out, a older employee was being super rude to a female customer and told her, "I have no way to tell you how long this will take. May be later today, tomorrow or the day after...just call back and check to see if it's done. If you're not going to wait here for it we're just going to move on to other people." He was being very short with her. I had planned to buy a $300 copier before I left but the experience was so off putting that I decided I would buy the printer online from Best Buy and wait...
Read moreBummed. My husband and I print fairly often, and switched awhile back from Staples to Office Depot after some disappointing experiences. Today, we are left searching for another new print option, preferably locally owned.
Todays experience... after last months print-to-ship (vs pickup) taking almost 2 weeks to arrive... I went to pick up this month's print order to ship it myself. Upon being handed the order, I noticed the tabs didn't have anything printed on them as ordered. The guy at the counter searched for and pulled up the order receipt to "show me" that there was nothing "uploaded" to the print order about words for the tabs... he's "not calling me a liar" but they "go off this order sheet." I print this same project at least once a month, with tabs, WITH print on them... so I am 99% sure this is a software or user error on their part (I typed out the words for the tabs less than 24 hours ago when ordering). When I respectfully questioned it, he provided me with the "customer service" number so they can show me how to use the website for next time. Then, (silly me) thinking this is a one-stop-shop for all my business needs, I inquired about shipping the half printed manual... and was told I needed to drive to FedEx or UPS, instead.
Super disappointing! I have heard the manager speaking with other customers and he seems super nice and helpful. It stinks that the staff does not seem to...
