While the park does not offer much in the way for younger children like my toddlers (one small playground), there is a lot of open space, ballparks, a pavilion and picnic shelter, bathrooms, a beautiful view, friendly people, and history. The pain is coming off and this is definitely a hang out for homeless people as well as some transient that are on crack and heroin. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting.
