I stopped here to look at mattresses after having spent the time doing research and going to a few other stores. I knew they had beds that I wanted and was hoping to find a good one in my price range.
Initially, the visit seemed fine. Normal questions about comfort levels and styles. Once we found one I actually really liked, we talked about the price and everything, and then my mom and I agreed to go to lunch to talk about all the options before making a decision, but we were pretty keen on purchasing this mattress. We just wanted to talk it over and make sure we were certain.
However, the salesman's reaction to this was... less than great. Immediately, he went on the defense to try to keep us in the store and make the purchase right then. And at first, what he was saying was informative about the perks of buying that bed, but then, it switched. He told me he likely wouldn't be able to get it delivered by tomorrow, which, that's fine, I get it if we miss out on a spot. But then he started hammering us with questions about what was holding us back from purchasing and why didn't we want to buy right then.
I told him I like to sit down and talk out my options as we had been several places before this and found good beds as well. So I wanted to make sure before I purchased. We reiterated this several times. I felt incredibly stressed, pressured and uncomfortable. I don't like being pushed into a decision, especially one that requires me to spend several thousand dollars. I loved that mattress, and I was likely going to purchase it. But I wanted to pros/cons my thoughts before committing as a bed is very important.
His attitude is 100% why we did not purchase that bed. When he asked, "What is holding you back from purchasing this bed right now?" I wanted to tell him it was him. If he had given us space to go have lunch, we likely would have returned. As it was, we took our business elsewhere because the longer I was away from that place, the less I wanted to support them.
I understand it's competitive, but if the bed is great, let it speak for itself. Be there to answer questions, listen, and be supportive. There is no reason to pressure someone to make a decision they aren't prepared to make.

Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. We purchased a mattress, adjustable base, delivery, and setup. We paid with a check with the understanding that nothing would be delivered until the check cleared the banks. The salesperson ran our check as an electronic check and then deposited it in their bank. We were charged twice for one purchase. We called the salesperson, the store manager, customer service, and corporate offices trying to get our money back, to no avail. We heard every excuse under the sun as to why it wasn’t their fault. 6 days later they admit it’s their fault but we have to wait another 3 days to get our money returned to us via FedEx. Our bank will place a hold on this money until it clears their bank. That’s $5,100.00 of our money we don’t have access to for approximately 3 weeks. Delivery and setup: they delivered our purchases but would not do anything toward setup because the guys decided the base and mattress would not work with our existing bed set; without trying anything. Nothing. Nada! Zilch! Zero! I’ve had poor customer service before but this is beyond ridiculous. Ordered the bed told us would be in next week 9/07/14 sales receipt, paying cash other two thousand for xl twin , two days before said it missed the truck, set up a new delivery call again just before said now it has not even been made by the manufacture and will let us know.
