We were served molded bread and given several different attempts at explanations. Mistakes happen and even after they were told my son was allergic to mold they continued to lie. My waitress explained to me that the bread is like that sometimes because the yeast turns blacks when its cooked sometimes. The waitress I stopped said it happens sometimes because of the black pan it is in. I guess because of the look of confusion on my face she said let me get the manager to explain. He took well over 15 mins to come out and then only to serve our entrees. But he walked away. I asked the other young lady who brought the food out with him, "was that the manager? I thought he was coming to talk to me?" She went and got him. He came back and pulled up a chair because I know he didn't want everyone else around us to hear our conversation. He explained its a 7 grain bread. Then I even explained to him that my son was allergic to mold and he continued with the lie. Well the potatoes, wild west shrimp, and my daughter's food was really delicious. My steak was overcooked and my lobster looked as though a piece was missing because someone was careless when opening it up. Despite all I made no argument and accepting my loss. I was always taught to treat people how you want to be treated. So I paid my tab in full and tipped the waitress. But I knew I would get this Google review request so I just let it be. In a place like Longhorns where the customers rarely look like me, I was not going to call more attention to myself or my family to push a narrative that has been pushed since the beginning of time. I understand mistakes happen and simple apology would have sufficed! I wasn't looking for a free meal, I was looking for a good meal and that was far from what I received today!! Along with the service. I would love to add the photo but my daughter took it on her phone and she is at work. But I KNOW WHAT MOLD ON BREAD LOOKS LIKE,...

We usually enjoy eating at LongHorn Steakhouse, but last night was a major letdown. From the moment we walked in around 10 PM, we were met—not greeted—by an extremely unfriendly hostess who looked visibly annoyed that we showed up. We were seated near her and got to witness her making faces and acting frustrated as other guests arrived. It was unprofessional and gave the impression that we were a burden, not customers.
We asked for a booth, but were told they were all closed—even though most were clearly open. Instead, we were placed at a table right at the entrance. Not ideal, but we rolled with it.
Then came the food mishap. After waiting a while, we watched our plates get brought to another table, causing visible confusion there. A minute later, the server realized the mistake and handed the plates to us without even changing them. That’s unacceptable—I don’t want my food passed around other tables. The server briefly apologized but didn’t seem too concerned.
The food was just okay. My ribs were tender, but my wife’s steak was supposed to be medium well and came out well done. When the server finally asked how things were, my wife mentioned the steak, and the response was, it is hard to get it medium well. At this point why ask what we want or just stay home and cook our own i guess. She did offer to replace it, but by that time we were ready to leave. She said she’d discount the steak—but that never happened either.
Throughout the meal, we overheard staff, including the hostess, gossiping and complaining about other guests. Overall, it felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff, not welcomed customers. For the price you pay here, the experience should be much better.
We won’t be back...
Read moremy bf and i came in after having a bad experience at las palmas and decided to eat food here instead. was greeted by a server, didn’t get her name because she didn’t introduce herself and she wasn’t welcoming to begin with. as a server myself, the energy from our server was very mediocre. my bf ordered a margarita like we always do when we go out and i always sip on it some, never before out of all the years doing it been told that i myself need to be I.D if i’m going to drink it. which i understand now is a law and i completely respect it, but it’s the way it got handled that bothered me the most. our server very rudely said “if you’re going to be drinking that i need to see your I.D” in the unfriendliness way. that’s fine again i respect she is just doing her job server to server. it was the tone. after the math of that happening is what really bothered me the most. the rest of the time of me and my bf sitting there she hovered over our booth, cleaning the same area she had just cleaned & kept staring at me. few seconds later walked a few more feet and kept staring at me. walked to the other side of the restaurant just to stare at me from a distance. if you’re that worried about a 20 years old sipping what’s 80% mango pure and 20% tequila, then just take the drink away completely lol. it was almost as if i was being patented at 20 years old. like i said could have been handled completely different and it was very rude. let’s just say she didn’t look hard...
