"Largest selection in town" that is constantly out of stock unless its just junk food. Now they added 2 rows of low fat alexandre farms milk, instead of adding more of the 6% or seasonal fat that are also constantly out of stock now theres even less 6% and seasonal because 2 rows are for the low fat. A couple weeks ago I went in there and they had absolutely no organic dairy in stock that was not low fat. No kefir no milk no yogurt no sour cream, no half and half no whipping cream nothing besides low fat. Not to mention countless coolers of "dairy alternatives" but very few options for regular organic dairy like theres one organic cream cheese and only one sour cream thats actually organic. That's it. But countless nut creams. Everytime i go in there, the 2 full rows of low fat are full and the individual rows of seasonal fat and 6% are always sold out and they wont sit any aside unless its a case, no one needs a case of milk, sour cream or half and half. I cant understand why they are keeping two rows of a product that never sells out unless everyone in roseburg gets so desperate for alexandre farms they buy the low fat, because that milk is very easy to digest and the low fat is better than oat juice. They'd make a lot more money if those items were kept in stock and I did go to a whole foods in eugene so I know it is possible to have an entire cooler of it the company even said sherms isn't ordering very much. Just no one wants the low fat obviously if week after week its not selling but the regular fat ones are. Boggles my mind to have 2 rows of the one that sells the least. Kombucha cooler is empty majority of the time i dont know why they cut that selection down so much, half the time when I order cases of drinks I don't get it for 2 weeks if it's not a manager who takes your special order you're not getting it. I've even been told "you never ordered it" when I know I did, very frustrating. Please don't offer that as an option if youre not going to do it. And if the wrong manager is working at customer service and natural foods have went home they will refuse to give you the 10% discount of case items (that are not on sale i am aware if its on sale i dont get 10% off). Unfortunately there is nowhere else to shop for these items unless I go to Eugene, I don't know why they can't order enough to fill the shelves. When something is constantly sold out, you'd think more would be ordered. Loads of almond, oat, coconut milk etc but any kind of organic real dairy is a massive pain to get and I know I'm not the only one who is constantly looking for it since it's sold out so much. I wish I could upload the photo of the empty rows of 6% and seasonal next to 2 full rows of low fat. I hope another store starts carrying it here someday because it's such an...
Read moreThe store is one of the filthiest establishment in Roseburg! I only purchase staples and check for expiration date as well as clean the merchandise with a wet one as I do not want this filth in my home. It has not changed in the 30+ years I've lived here. I will NEVER purchase meat and "fresh vegetables" EVER! The meat is always expired with brown tinges with white patches I can only see as mold they have hidden under the meat. The health dept, such as it is run by Dr. Dannenhoffer who ran the pandemic like a flu and not telling ALL to continue to wear masks, hand sanitizer today, Oct 6, 2022 as there is another more virulent strain, BA 7.1. Their supposed epidemiolist has only a master's degree which is woefully inadequate! This store needs to be shutdown especially since they are open 24 hours which allows NO time to adequately disinfect, trash meat and rotten vegetables. The store needs to be emptied, toss all expired and rotten food, clean and ionize the entire store which could take, with multiple units up to a week or more. Please only purchase staples that have reasonable expiration dates, no vegetables and absolutely no meat because it is not prepared in sanitary conditions. I have seen "butchers" handling meat with no gloves or only small surgical ones which are absolutely not adequate. They need gloves, disposable, that go up to the elbows and if some blood runs down the glove inside, then remove, scrub with a dilute iodine soap, dry with disposable cloth and don a new pair. Perhaps a call to the state health dept needs to be done...
Read moreGenerally we love going to Sherms even when the competition with Winco became a reality we still shopped at Sherms mainly for their great customer service and selection. Today was NOT that experience! The cashier we had was very rude and impatient. We began to check out waiting for the elderly couple to complete their shopping. I went around started bagging patiently waiting for them, the cashier clearly didn't have any patience today. I was told there was no bags allowed on the rail, ok where am I supposed to put them? In the cart we are unloading still? So I wait. Then she continues to keep ringing product up smooshing everything that was at the end of the line knowing there was no where to put it yet. We didn't say anything as I was trying to be patient (elderly couple was still bagging their product btw). So I let it pile. I then get asked how many bags? Can I finish first? U now have all of our food smooshed at the end of the line not in bags and u ask how many bags smh!!!!!!! The cashier then proceeds to roll her eyes and is now being snarky with the other cashier this is line #6 and #7. Management needs to have a conversation with Susan N: Employee # 5849 u my dear need to learn what customer service actually means and if u hate your job that bad find a different one then! The elderly couple in front of us as well as ourselves didn't deserve your disrespect today! I hope u have the day u deserve and we will now be looking for other places to do...
