We were told wait time was 15 minutes... We actually waited 35 minutes. We finally got seated, no one came to our table for approx 10 minutes, then a gentleman said he was going to be our server because our reg. Waitress was too far behind. I asked how long is the wait time before we would get pour meal, j e said 30 minutes... so far our dining experience had been 100% disappointing. I ordered a coke and my husband ordered lemonade. We both ordered burgers, the waiter asked if I wanted my burger to have any pink in it, I said, oh just a little pink. My husband said he didn't want any pink. He took the order to the kitchen and returned with our drinks. My coke was fine, my husband's lemonade looked liked dirty dishwasher. He tasted it and immediately asked me to take quick drink of the lemonade... It was horrible, it was so diluted, there might have been a tinsy-wee hint of lemon flavour. He couldn't drink it (have to say our waitress was caught up and became our server and she was very concerned and very understanding), she actual took a sip and asked if she could take that glass back to the bartender to show him. Mike was able to order a root beer. Our burgers came and we both cut them in half. Went to take a bite when I noticed my burger was absolutely dripping blood, completely red almost raw in the middle. I almost threw up. My husband who ordered his w/no pink... his burger was completely pink . We tried to eat them because we were starving, but just couldn't do it. We really do hate to complain but we paid $13 for each burger and couldn't eat it. We decided we needed to show the waitress. She was horrified! She said if it was OK, she would like to take the left over burgers back to the cook and then asked if we wanted new burgers. She also said she was going to talk to her manager. We said we didn't want new burgers, we had already been at Red Robin for 1 hour and 45 minutes didn't want to wait anymore. She came back with her manager and the manager was very apologetic and couldn't really believe it until she actually saw it. She couldn't apologize any more than she did... She had sympathy and empathy for our situation, the whole experience and gave us a 50% discount. We gladly accepted her offer and explained to her we generally don't complain but felt we needed to say something. Our waitress went over and above her normal job duties and the manager performed her management position in a respectful way, top notch. In these days when I truly believe customer service is dead and usually the younger employees in any type of job don't understand that employers future depends on patrones coming back to that establishment. People only revisit establishments where they have been treated with respect and dignity. That's what we got that night at Red Robin, our esitredd and the manager saved the evening. We generally tip when we get good customer service, we don't tip just to tip... We feel if we leave a tip it's our way to say thank you for a job well done, so sometimes we don't tip. We actually left a tip that night, only because of those 2 employees who saved the night and renewed my faith in customer service, and made it possible for us to think about trying Red Robin for an evening out, with our those 2, we would probably never...
Read moreThis is the third time I have ordered take out from this Red Robin and been disappointed. This time was the worst. Service was decent as the ladies handling the take out were nice and friendly (not like last time). My broccoli was obviously old, it had darkening (can you say grey?) ends and some of it was already turning yellow and on top of that it was only slightly cooked (I like crispy but this was one step short of raw). I told them no tomato on one of the burgers (I should have told them I was allergic) and I always check...sure enough there were tomato seeds...so they realized no tomatoes and took it off...unfortunately leaving seeds which I scraped off. The burgers were ok, more condiment than burger so they were kind of slimy. This was so disappointing since we were celebrating my Mothers 96th birthday and taking it back to her home. Thankfully I had made a chocolate cheesecake and that put a big smile on her face. I realize that during all that is going on in the nation and people having hiring issues that things can happen, but old food should be caught and NOT sent out. We pay as much as if we were sitting in the restaurant taking up a table space and using staff and I at least expect the food to be exemplary...it wasn't. I'm not sure if I want to bother trying take out from here again. I know when we sit down in the restaurant we generally have had a...
Read moreWent to Red Robin day after Valentines day. It was packed as usual, 20-25 minute wait which was not unusual at 6pm on a Saturday.
Wait staff was pleasant, explained the specials well, but once we ordered we didn't see her again until our meal was done and she was ready with our check.
My husband and I both ordered the bottomless fries. We only got a few fries on our plate with our burgers and we requested another round of fries to go when we got our check and got a single order. I don't want to be harassed while eating every time I take a bite, but I feel that if one of your marketing strategies is to offer bottomless fries, you should actually train your staff to provide this. 10 years ago, we would have had fries on our table as we waited for our food to come, and as staff passed our table they would ask if we wanted a refill if they see an empty basket. But in the years since that time, it's steadily just become a bit of a joke.
I feel like the price of the meals are a little extravagant since it's supposed to include bottomless fries that just aren't. Maybe the staff and franchise should look up the definition of "bottomless" and decide whether or not they still want to offer that option. The burger was ordinary but tastey. I don't think I'll be going back...
