Labor and delivery was okay but they couldnât figure out how to make epidural work on both sides of my body.
The labor and delivery nurses were well educated, respectful and caring, but post delivery nurses were poorly educated and ruined breastfeeding for me. They make stupid comments and pressure women into breastfeeding when milk is delayed. They rather watch babies cry from starvation than give formula to supplement until milk comes in. My baby lost too much weight because I took their advice on breastfeeding. I later found out that other women had a similar experience at this location and struggled to breastfeed.
The nurses were unkind and each felt the need to share uneducated and dumb personal opinions about my babyâs needs, my surgery and pain. They said I was too sensitive when I was in pain and bleeding. We ran out of there before we were ready to go home just to get away from the nurses.
The lactation consultants were useless. I later found a good one at the downtown location, but it was too late to fix the damage they caused at the hospital.
Thanks to this place, my birthing experience and recovery was traumatic and miserable. Also, I wasnât able to breastfeed my baby thanks to the nurses who pressured me to breastfeed when I was bleeding and milk was delayed. I later learned that there are ways to give formula with a nipple shield before milk comes in so baby doesnât starve. Apparently no one at the...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience as a first time mom giving birth to my baby girl. I felt reassured and educated throughout my labor and delivery. I felt like my needs and wants were respected and honored throughout the whole process. Every nurse, doctor, midwife, lactation consultant, and anyone I encountered during my stay was extremely helpful and educated/informed me about what was happening. I really appreciated the kindness and reassurance I got through labor, delivery, and my postpartum stay. Also, they treated my support people with the same kindness and respect. Overall, I had a great...
Read moreWhen my son had to be hospitalized for treatments and I mean it's absolutely necessary for him to be in hospital for a few days and even longer. The staff are absolutely amazing. They are very caring and also most are knowledgeable about the care and medications that are given. If you have any questions about treatments they will make sure to let the doctors know. Most can also give you the answers as well. It could be the department that we were going to in Pediatrics, but the nursing staff were always wonderful. Pls keep up...
