I tried the Frank Fats downtown Sac location early this year so I wanted to try the Roseville location. I ordered the garlic noodles and honey walnut chicken. The garlic noodles were a fantastic surprise. The noodles themselves were cooked perfectly, and the combination of scallions, parmesan, and butter garlic sauce was absolutely delicious. The parmesan was a surprising addition, but it definitely worked, adding a lil sharpines to a savory dish. I'd rate this dish a 9.5 out of 10. I would totally get again.

The honey walnut chicken was a bit more of a mixed experience. The sauce was great, but the coating on the chicken wasn't as even as I would have liked. It seemed like the sauce might have just been drizzled on top rather than mixed throughout, which is a shame because the sauce was good. There just wasn't enough of it to fully cover each piece. Same goes with whatever coating they put on it before they fried it. I understand that their honey walnut chicken is lightly fried, but I wasn't a fan of the inconsistency of the coating on the chicken. Their were some pieces that were fully covered in the flour mixture (I'm assuming)and sauce, and those were perfect, but the pieces that didn't have like any flour mixture or sauce on it, tasted extremely bland. If the coating would have been more consistent, this dish would have been a home run. I'd give the chicken a 7 out of 10. Although I wasn't super impressed with the meat option, I would still recommend this restaurant. My experience at the Franks fat in Sac was a bit better so I'll give them a benefit of the doubt. I think you'll still leave happy. Just make sure you get the garlic noodles. Maybe ask for extra sauce on the...

Summary: Shockingly poorly trained managers, totally indifferent to terrible service. They defended the bad service. We had a disappointing experience with both managers today, Valentine’s day. They are poorly trained. We have gone to Fat’s many times a year and this was our 15th consecutive Valentine’s there. It took an hour to get our food. This has never happened before. I complained to the manager and he told me that they were busy and there was nothing he could do. He did not apologize or offer anything to make things better, like pay for our drinks or give us a free desert. He made it clear that it was not his responsibility. As a manager, everything is his responsibility. He could go to the kitchen to see if he could solve any problems. At a minimum, he could apologize. After we sat down, the manager from the reception area came by. She was polite, but she also said that the kitchen is busy and the food is very good, and we would just have to wait. I told her that if they cannot handle this many guests, do not make this many reservations. I also told her that the first manager was totally indifferent, and that I thought he was a jerk. She said that calling him a name ended my conversation with her. I am very surprised that neither manager apologized, neither went to the kitchen to see if there was a problem with our order or if there was something they could do to speed things up, and neither offered to do anything to make...

One star is still too much of a rating to give Fat’s for horrible service. We went there yesterday to celebrate a birthday. Everything started out fine. We had reservations for eight of us and were able to sit in one of the corner rooms that had the round table. The waiter appeared shortly after and took our order for drinks and appetizers. Everything was going fine until after the main course arrived. That was the last time we saw our waiter for quite some time. He never came back to see how everything was or if we needed more drinks and water refills. We saw him taking care of other tables but He never came to check on us. When someone came to package up our leftovers we brought it to their attention that the waiter hadn’t been back since we got our food. The waiter finally arrived but without an explanation for lack of service, just apologetic. We told him our daughter had reserved a whole banana cream pie the day before and it was to be served after our meal. It took close to 20 minutes before he brought the pie. It was still in the box and he left a cake knife for us to cut and serve it. We also had to ask for forks. I don’t know what the problem was. The waiter was friendly and polite. Maybe he was overwhelmed or lack of training?? The place was not that busy when we arrived at 5:00pm. Considering the cost of the meal meal, this was the worst service we ever had there and we’ve been going to Fat’s since it opened...

The Real Deal is Fats Asia Bistro Roseville which delivers on style and taste!! Let’s kick this off with the service which was outstanding for both of my visits. My drink was always full, food delivered quickly, and really good teamwork to provide a welcoming environment. I would say customer service definitely high priority for the manager. Next let’s talk about the environment which looks and feels like a calming atmosphere. The bar area has comfy chairs and cozy in a nature. The tables have really comfortable chairs which makes for getting a booth which they have not always a top priority. Nice see through fireplace. Now onto what you alllll been waiting for The Food! First visit I had the happy hour menu which had some amazing starters from Lumpia (8.5/10) a delicious spin from the traditional to Ribs were tasty (8.5/10). On my next visit, I had the Crab Rangoon which was creamy and crispy (8.5-10). Then I tried Honey Walnut Chicken that fried not too sweet with a large portion to share with two (9/10). Another item tested was the Chinese Chicken Salad (10/10) that was very delicious, large portion, exciting flavors that would expect in this type of salad. Overall, this place is a great date spot, lunch or dinner, well rounded dining! Must try!

Don’t go, terrible service. It’s a shame the service is horrible. I had some time to myself and went in for lunch on a Saturday. I was seated in the bar area at a table. I had 3 servers walk by in a span of 10 mins and not even one server stopped by to offer me the menu of a glass of water. I flagged a server down and said I would like to order and she went on about her way. I flagged her down again for a glass of water and the menu and waited another 5 minutes for a glass of water…. She stopped by with a glass of water, no menu with a look on her face. Same server who has served me 3 times in the past…. I tip 20% plus every time. I use to love this restaurant, with my experience now I will not be going back and would recommend others to avoid the place if you expect decent service. Food is good, service and hospitality needs a lot of work. The servers have this attitude like they own the place and not very friendly. Avoid and don’t go.
