Went there for the dog park on a Wednesday afternoon, which I got to have the entire space to myself and my dog.
Lots of trees and it is mostly grass. The fence is on the shorter side, so I would worry bigger dogs with good jumping skills can make it past the fence with ease. There are 2 small tables inside the dog park, and each table has 4 chairs that can seat up to 6 people total. A trash bin near by the tables as well for poop bags. I did not find doggo water fountains inside the dog park, but the bathroom is right outside the dog park area with a water fountain right next to it.
The rest of the park is also mostly grass with dedicated space for baseball/softball. Parking is a bit confusing since the lines designating the spots are mostly gone, making it challenging to identify if certain areas are parking spaces. Quite a few other people were using the park during my visit, either playing with their dogs, going to baseball practice, or riding their bike.
I did notice the children's playground is quite old given how sun bleached and cracked some paint/plastics are looking.
Overall it's a lovely space, and I do recommend people to bring their pups...
Read moreYou, your children, and your dog will have a wonderful time and fun at this park, inside or outside the dog park. The dog park is for all size dogs.
Outside the gated dog park is a covered picnic table, a playground, a baseball park, and bathrooms. There is at least one designated handicap spot.
The people who are regulars are the best dog owners to be around; they pay attention to their dogs/puppies, are friendly, helpful, and caring.
The waterstreem across from the dog park is a pleasant place to bring a chair to enjoy serenity while your dog plays in the water! Please remember to give your dog or children a bath when you leave.
I will need to add pictures later - new phone awaiting setup and transfer. The park is large, and if you cross over the main street, you will find another large park. There are multiple playgrounds for children and a bridge that goes over where the stream...
Read moreFoxtails everywhere!!! This is a huge safety concern for dogs. There are tons of foxtails just outside the dog park fence and some inside the fence. The barbs come off and get stuck in dogs skin- if you dont want to risk a huge vet bill stay away during the warmer months. If the city would take care of the foxtail issue it'd be a good dog park- spacious, shaded. Very unfortunate. It does need a water dispenser in the dog park- that's a standard you expect at any dog park. You have to walk outside of the park to the nearest water fountain. Park is also muddy in wet weather. Room for needed improvements but a good park with lots...
