Horrible, HORRIBLE FOOD and Crew! The worst $8.00 I EVER SPENT IN MY LIFE!
I was not satisfied with my Dairy Queen experience today, because, the order taker did not give me what I had ordered. The cost of $18 and $0.17 for an order of a large onion ring and a regular hamburger is an extraordinarily high amount to charge. Granted, the cost is not something that individual stores have control over. However, the cost of those two items combined with the flavor of the hamburger, and the temperature of the hamburger makes it one of the worst $18 I have ever spent.
Then add to that the large order of onion rings and how they were delivered to me - semi-warm. Obviously, the onion rings had been sitting for a long time because they were very very very crunchy. You add to that a lousy hamburger and it is again the worst $18 I have ever spent.
On top of that, when I arrived I was the second car in line, and the two of us sat there for a good 7 to 8 minutes before anybody came on the loudspeaker to take the first gentlemen's order. By the time I had ordered mine and made my way around the corner, the first car had been asked to move forward and Park.
After I paid for mine, I was asked to move forward and Park. Which I did. I then waited another four minutes before receiving my order.
To top that off with the lousy hamburger and horrible onion rings it is the absolute worst $18 I've ever spent in my entire life. When I ordered my plain hamburger without cheese by the time I came around the corner I realized that they may just make that a very plain hamburger and not a cheeseburger without the cheese. So I therefore commented on them that I would like to have the hamburger the same as a cheeseburger without the cheese. When I received the hamburger, there were three pickles, some god-awful sauce, and a very rubbery hamburger. That rubbery hamburger was between too rubbery pieces of what I suppose you call buns. They were not like any buns I had ever had before.
Then add to the top of all of that, the attitude and Discerning look received from the staff and the horrible tasting hamburger and bites of the hamburger and three or four onion rings because I just could not handle it anymore.
This is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this Dairy Queen. Perhaps, a whole new crew needs to be brought in? Because it just seems to point back to the people preparing the food.
They made us wait almost 8 minutes just to have our order taken at 10:33 in the morning?!? Then when they do take the order they have an attitude, they make us wait some more, then they get the order wrong!
I sure hope that the gentleman in the car before me received his meal and is very very satisfied with it and that it was just a fluke that I got the most horrible $18 spent.
I wouldn't want to wish that on anybody. Nobody....
Read moreAny time I feel homesick, I just look for a "Texas Stop Sign," in other words: a Dairy Queen. I've been to this location a few times in the last 3yrs (before, during, and after shut down) and have not had a bad experience. The one time they were out of small cups during the shut down they gave us an instant upgrade which was nice. If I don't feel like waiting (or are pressed for time), I order ahead on DoorDash. Once I did this while we were in line out in the street, and by the time we got to the window the order was ready & not melted in the slightest (still couldn't use the straw for my Blizzard), and we were on our way. This last visit made my heart hurt. It was a lovely night so the windows were open the whole time, the line was short so we decided to stop. The car in front of us kept changing their order and were very rude each time it was read back. I'm glad we waited, because they even backed up to change it after they started to advance to the window. Finally, after changing the complete order again they moved up. We placed our order and started to the window. The woman in front of us had gone from rude to screaming because they gave her the last order given and had been read back, but I guess she forgot to add the very first item from the first order before she changed it MULTIPLE times. Once she left screaming about how she'd never come back, we pulled up and the employee immediately apologized for the wait. We thanked them but explained we heard the whole exchange from the beginning and asked if we should call in to testify to the event. They thanked us but said it wasn't necessary, she was probably just having a bad day. "True, but she didn't know what kind of day y'all might have been having here at work," was my response. They apologized again gave us our order and change. Miraculously, even with the amount of time it took that woman to throw a tantrum, my spoon was still cemented in my Root Beer Float! The amount of patience, courtesy, and professionalism shown by the staff was commendable. Though, I'm wondering if that will have to be the norm or maybe it always was (idk, I've never worked in fast food), but it seems tensions are still high and people feel ridiculously entitled 2+ yrs into this pandemic. With all the name-calling and (I hope) empty threats, idk what I would have done: be rude in exchange or just started crying? One thing it did do was give you another Julius League, Blizzard Fan Club, &...
Read moreCame through the drive through with my friends about an hour ago to order some ice cream. After ordering one of the 5 ice creams we intended to order the worker cut me off and told me to pull forward. I tried to tell her I wasn’t done ordering and she ignored me. Pulled up to the window and she continued to ignore me. I gave up and she gave her my card for the one ice cream. She tried to give me the wrong order and when I told her that isn’t what I ordered was incredibly rude and slammed the window, since she slammed it the window popped open a little bit and we could hear her loudly complaining as she was standing right by the window still, she noticed and shut it all the way to continue her conversation. After a few minutes she finally came back to the window. She had overcharged my card for 3 different items instead of the one. Then charged it again for my actual order. She never apologized for the mix up or overcharging me. I get that people have bad days but geez lady don’t work in customer service if you can’t...
