My wife and I work from home. A couple of years ago, we bought some stylish, affordable, but orthopedically, too-young chairs for us. We both started having back issues, so I went back to Staples to shop the office chair Black Friday sale.
That is when I met Kevin. I believe he is the store manager. I asked him if he knew much about office chairs. He replied humbly "I know all about the office chairs." We talked for a few minutes, I relayed my issue and he guided me to a chair that I wouldn't have even noticed.
I took the chair home, put it together and started using it and saw immediate improvement in the whole back pain situation.
I went back later that day because my wife wanted one too. They didn't have another one in stock. The nearest one was in Orangevale. Kevin volunteered to go pick up the chair for me on his day off. It would have been no big deal for me to go get it, but it was more convenient if I didn't have to.
Bottom line, Kevin was efficient, knowledgable and super customer service oriented. I feel lucky to have run into him and get his assistance with a very serious and specific need.
Retail used to be a profession, but over the years, the emphasis has been taken off of expertise and service. Kevin is a man on a mission and the rest of the team in this location has always been very pleasant and helpful! Thanks to Kevin...
Read moreStaples is our go to for school and office supllies! We love Staples as a company. But the manager, Chris, from this store is a Liar! Manager really?! He was professional and calm but yet still a liar and didn't apologize for it. I take it back. Not professional! I took my mom to buy an HP Laptop thinking we can get a deal with a $100 instant off(coupon code) and $100 trade-in (traded in my moms old laptop). He took the $100 instant and said that the $100 trade-in would come as a Visa Gift Card and would ship directly to the house. After leaving, I noticed that we didn't get the original receipt for whatever reason. It was a duplicate. Examined the receipt and no where does it say a laptop was traded in. So we drove back with the new laptop and told him that how are we suppose to receive a Visa Gift Card if it doesn't say on the receipt that theres a trade-in. He said that he just honored the $100(coupon code) because he couldn't find it in his system and not the trade-in but still took my moms old laptop. Then why say the Visa Gift Card will be shipped to the house, knowing that it wouldn't. Didn't apologize for lying. Something sketchy about this manager, Chris. So we ended up returning the laptop and again getting a duplicate receipt. I will never come to this store again! I'll either shop at other staples...

I walk in to buy a laptop Wednesday september 28th, I saw the one that I wanted and after all considerations, as expected, this places have laptops on display but they DONT have the actual computer on inventory, so I told the guy, well I really need this for this weekend because my kid its going away to collage next Sunday, I will buy it somewhere else, the guy told me NO PROBLEM we can have it shipped and here by Friday! and FREE!... bad bad bad choice! I went to review my order and I found out that it was shipped from Ontario, TODAY, and expected delivered by next tuesday October the 4th.... so I called the store manager and talked to him... he just said.. weellll.. mmmmm... eehhhhh... sorry, theres nothing I can do, but we can refund your money if you want...... WHAT!!??? this guy has ZERO customer service knowledge at all! zero, none, ... I told him but WHY one of you assosiets told me that it was going to be here by Friday? just to make a sale? he said well, I dont know..... long story short my worst experience ever, I dont go to staples often, I gave them a change, WONT ever go there again... this company...
