Four and a half stars to US Forest Service, one star for Google maps. Great trail maintenance, access to rivers, diverse forest habitat. Minus 0.5 for failure to post map at location VC 13 on local maps plus the classic failure of other users to maintain leave no trace ethic. $5 to park at south entrance and worth the cost. Google should update their map to match the local version posted. Note the gap between VC13 and VC3? I failed greatly in trusting the Google version to return me to the parking area with my enthusiastic, capable and elderly mother-in-law during an afternoon hike post Christmas. As the local map shows the southwestern most loop does not actually connect. Adventures at dusk near the winter solstice ensued 😀. All safe and...

The Vickery Creek area is another wonderful opportunity to explore the Chattachoochee River area. If your objective is a moderate difficulty hike, you can park along Oxbo and follow the trails (pay attention to the numbered "you are here" markers). You can manage how far you go because their are multiple trails that connect in several places but be aware that starting your hike in this area will take you along some elevated paths where erosion and exposed tree roots make the footing a little tricky. If you'd like to casually check out the area but aren't looking to really hike or have young children with you, there are other entrances by the old mill, covered bridge and falls that require very little effort to get to and make for...

Another hidden treasure like place in the city to trek and hike. It’s a network of trails, well managed with the maps and sign board. I found this place extremely peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. this place is dense, lush green grass surrounded the mountain and some wild flowers which looks gorgeous under the sunlight. There are two ways to enter in this park, one would take you directly to the waterfall and this one first make you to trek, hike, walk and travel a certain distance to see that unbelievable beauty of waterfall at the end.People sit, relax and hike here. It’s also a good place to bring your dogs.People who love nature,I would say just go there and give some fresh air and pleasurable site...
