One of my absolute favorites that I've discovered so far. It's almost a hidden gem. I came up to visit a friend from Mobile, Alabama and while she was working she had made a list of state parks around the area, she knew I loved to be outside and explore. This was one of the parks she suggested, so I took a chance and went and I have to say I'm glad to have discovered this breathtaking park. The parking can be a little tricky if you don't get there early but it almost seems like this is a hidden park in the middle of town. The Falls is an easy hike to get to and the trails are pretty good to take on the other side. Let me say the falls are breathtaking, and the fact that you can actually get into and under the waterfall is even better. There is an old Mill that you can see the parts still resting on the ground. I ended up staying all day while my friend was at work. It's that peaceful, the best part is it was also my birthday that weekend which made it even more special. I ended up going back a second time before leaving to head back to Alabama and getting in the Waterfall. I would be back in a heartbeat! Can't say enough about this beautiful hidden gem.

This is my favorite trail after getting off work. I used to walk with AOC friends. Whenever I walk on the familiar trail, I feel relaxed. There are many branches of the trails, one can choose different combinations of the branches as needed. The trails are mostly covered, some of them are easy, others aren't. it would be 4.7 miles based on Alltrails if keep on outside trail to circle around. You would find deers if you are lucky, there's also a mysterious plane ruin. At the trailhead, the covered bridge and the ruins of the 19 century textile mills would always touch Georgian heart, or become a nostalgic visual art. With the sound of waterfalls and golden sunset, my soul is fascinated by these good old days. Parking is limited, it's even crowded in the summer, bring your swimsuits if you're prepared to spend long time at the waterfall area. There are different parking lots that can access to the trail, they all have limited parking spaces.

This is a great park with hiking trails. The park has some steep hills and stairs on one side of the river. The trails are not well marked along the way and some even have trees that have fallen down so it needs to be maintained a little better and marked better. However, there are some maps that you may or may not find along some trails with points of where you are and what trails there are; there weren't too helpful to me though. At the beginning of the park, the path is paved cement, this oath leads you to the bridge, some information about the mills, and the creek. The trails are not paved. Getting down to the waterfall river is a little tricky and you might get hurt if you're not athleticly inclined or have the proper shoes. I didn't go down to the river by the waterfall this time as I didn't have my hiking shoes with me. Overall I enjoyed my time there. If a park has a creek or waterfall it is always a great park to me.

Vickery Creek has an absolutely gorgeous trail that's absolutely a must if you're up to differentiating intensities. Some moments you'll be walking on flat ground, while others you're making sizable drops or going up steep hills. Regardless, there's plenty of shade to keep you covered, and if you take the outer paths, you're near water a considerable amount of the time which keeps everything nice and cool. For those who just want to see the waterfall, it's pretty close to the entrance of the park, and you're even able to swim nearby. If you climb higher up, there's even a pretty mellow section of the river that you'll probably find people swimming in as well. Only issue is be mindful of parking - There's a wedding venue right there, so the parking lot is often pretty full. You can park in the lot before the park entrance though, so usually parking isn't too much of a hassle, so long as you don't mind a small trek.

Beautiful hike hidden in historic Roswell, with its own waterfall. Multiple paths to follow. You can walk down the cliffs (carefully), even saw some people go into the water! No mosquitoes this time of year (pre-summer) even though it was a hot day. Witnessed a lot of people getting professional portraits taken here- young couples newly engaged, a young family with a new baby, a large family gathered together. The rustic bridge surrounded by nature makes for a good backdrop. Nearby is the little town of old Roswell, with a main street full of eclectic restaurants, eateries, and pubs, as well as unique home decor and antiques shops. Great place to eat brunch, lunch, or dinner. But be warned, Sunday brunch/lunch time is packed, at every restaurant, so plan ahead with reservations or an early arrival. Wait times average 15-30 min.
