I wish the city would employ a security guard during all open hours because A lot of people don't follow the rules that are clearly posted on the fence of the park. There is absolutely supposed to be NO BMX BIKES OR SCOOTERS at the skatepark. It's clearly defined in the rules. But what do I see constantly, BMX bikes and scooters, y'all aren't cool and you constantly get in the way of actual skaters because you don't know basic skatepark etiquette. Read moreThe park I grew up at so it would’ve gotten an automatic 5 star, but they have removed the picnic tables underneath the shaded area, which is vital for taking a breather in the Texas sun, as well as gotten rid of the water fountain (they obviously WANT to see people get heat stroke) Structurally it is a decent park, The bowl Is Built for Regular footed skaters as the way the deep end is shaped forces goofy footed skaters to enter it backside, which is a much more difficult position when carving a bowl.

Read moreAs of this review, I have visited over 40 skateparks in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and I have never seen a pool with a ramp feature going into it. I absolutely and totally LOVE IT!! This park is a lot of fun with great features for all levels... plus some shaded areas so you can chill in the grass. Concrete is rough (as in not polished) but well maintained and doesn't slow you down. The rec center is right next door, which is great if you need to escape the heat or need a restroom break.
