I visited waffle love this past weekend with family. We got 2 chicken and waffles and 2 breakfast Sammy's. It took about 20 minutes for the food to come out which wasn't bad but there was only 1 table that didn't have their food yet so it was on the longer side for waiting. The food was good but the portion size was a little small for the price and me and my brother both went back and ordered the Sausage Sammy. My sausage patty was burnt. I tried to eat around it but couldn't stomach it as the whole thing tasted bad. After taking my tray up to complain about the burned portion the employee tried to tell me it was "char". I pointed out that not only was only one side "charred" but it peeled off when I scraped it, and the story changed to "honestly it's probably because they didn't have time to clean off the grill because we had a huge lunch rush". He offered to refund my money or make me a new one and I asked if I just came back another day could I get it remade then, as i had lost my appetite. He told me that was no problem and took down my information. I returned today and the same employee told me he wouldn't honor that agreement as the manager had told him not to. If I would've known I would've just gotten my refund and given them another chance at some other time.
We were already there so we decided to give them another try. My son got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich for $13.00 and told me he would rather have whataburger or chic fil a or Tumble 22 for that price as at least he would get fries and the chicken would at least fill him. My waffle was on the crispier side.
EDIT: Management reached out to me and made the situation right. We came back and ordered chicken and waffles and another Nashville chicken sandwich, which were complimentary, and it was cooked perfectly. The sandwich had a decent sized piece on it this time.
The only reason I'm not changing this to 5 stars is the price is steep for no sides or drink included. (We got fountain drinks this time, $2.95 each). If you are looking for a meal for the kids or maybe a sweet treat for yourself or a light lunch, this is the place. Unfortunately if you are hungry 1 entree is not going to fill you and you will need to spend at least...
Read moreI recently had the incredible opportunity to win a giveaway from Waffle Love ATX, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience! But this wasn't my first encounter with Waffle Love ATX - I had the pleasure of visiting their establishment about 2 to 3 years ago when I was pregnant. However, since they're not in my area, I hadn't been back since. That's why this recent experience was so special to me.
First and foremost Ben and Riley, were absolutely amazing… the kind-hearted souls running the food truck, greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel right at home. Their patience and genuine kindness were truly commendable.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the waffles! Waffle Love ATX never fails to impress. Each bite transported me back in time, reminding me of the incredible flavors I had experienced during my previous visit. The waffles were a perfect balance of crispy and fluffy, and the toppings and accompaniments elevated them to another level of deliciousness.
The presence of my friends and family made this occasion even more memorable. It was such a special bonding experience, one that I am grateful to have shared with my loved ones.
Waffle Love ATX holds a special place in my heart, and I couldn't be happier to have had this opportunity to reconnect with their amazing waffles. Although they're not in my area, I hope that one day I'll have the chance to visit them again. Until then, I'll cherish the moments and flavors from this recent experience.
To Waffle Love ATX, thank you for bringing such joy and deliciousness to people's lives. Your dedication to creating exceptional waffles, combined with the genuine kindness of your team, makes you truly remarkable.
If you're fortunate enough to be in an area where Waffle Love ATX operates, don't miss out on the chance to indulge in their waffle creations.
Thank you, Waffle Love ATX, for making this experience possible and for creating memories that will...
Read moreWent here during the first week of June 2023. The place was packed and the line was long. While in line, we could see the dishes people were eating and it looked amazing. There's also a vertical screen near the counter highlighting some of their waffles that constantly change.
If you are dining in the morning, the wait time is very long. It took a long while before food got to us when we got seated. Prior ro sitting, you order and pay at the counter, no greetings and I didn't even get a cup for ordering their coffee. Everything is of an "ask" basis so if you don't ask they will just stare and wait for you to order or figure it all out. It's not a deal breaker it's just how they run the place. None of the waiter or waitress were smiling either, they drop the food and go.
Now let's talk about the food. Our family ordered the nutella waffle and banana waffle for the kids, a chicken & waffles and the chicken avocado tartine and bacon sandwich. The last two were the highlights.
If you just wanted to have regular waffles, their Nutella, banana waffles are ok. Nothing exceptionally fancy (they are topped with cream and the nutella waffle has lots of banana) and taste ok. The chicken & waffles just didn't cut it for me. The chicken was dry and not juicy enough, maybe your luck will be better when you order it, the sauce was pretty nice but that's it. The tartine and bacon sandwich were both fire! It's because the waffles tasted like croissants and if I have to choose, I will highly recommend the chicken avocado tartine. The avocado addition and the croissant waffle (that crunch when you bite) plus all that juice from the sauce and the eggs etc makes this really an amazing breakfast to have. Give it a try if you haven't already, you will be...
