I honestly wasn’t going to give such a low review because the place isn’t a bad place . I have came to this specific location twice and each time I must say my child enjoyed himself. From a parent’s perspective I was very very disappointed. I called in to reserve a room for my son birthday weeks in advance and unfortunately it wasn’t available which was fine . I inquired if I could bring in a cake so we could at-least sing happy birthday to him and I would pay an extra fee whatever they wanted I would pay as long as I could bring the cake still. I was told absolutely no , due to allergies and safety of other children. I completely understood and complied with those rules . Upon arriving and settling in I noticed another group sitting directly next to me with cake and utensils singing happy birthday to their child . Of course naturally that unsettled me because I was told under no circumstances could I bring in the cake . I went to the front desk to ask for a manager. One of the young ladies decided she wanted to ask what was wrong and I explained to her the Situation, she then said “well if you didn’t pay the cake fee that’s why you couldn’t bring your cake” I interjected and said that’s news to me because no one mentioned anything about a cake fee I was told no overall. She clearly became frustrated with me because her body language became dismissive, she began to roll her eyes , and clearly started to focus her attention on the customers in front of her because her customer service/ deescalation skills were not up to par. I spoke to the manager on duty who was a kind gentleman and did try to resolve the issue by allowing me to bring in a cake. Unfortunately I live 40 minutes away from this location and was not able to drive another 40 minutes back home to pick up the cake and 40 back again to the location. That did put a stick in my attitude because I felt that wasn’t fair to me as a paying customer. I was recently on social media to see another mutual family I know celebrating with a cake in the open area . I’m very disappointed because this is a nice location but it’s clear they pick and chose who their rules apply to. I know better to be extra cautious and selective when choosing a place to celebrate...
Read moreI am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the experience my family and I had at La La Land for my daughter’s 1st birthday party.
Our party was scheduled for 3:30 PM. The day prior, I called to confirm when we could begin decorating and was told the earliest we could start was 3:00 PM. However, when we arrived promptly at that time, the staff at the entrance were extremely unwelcoming. Their demeanor was cold and dismissive, which immediately set a negative tone for what was meant to be a joyful celebration.
To make matters worse, the assigned party host did not arrive until approximately 40 minutes after the scheduled start time. During that time, my family and I were left to handle all setup and decorations ourselves. We also had to take everything down without any assistance.
What should have been a beautiful memory for our daughter’s milestone turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. The lack of professionalism and poor energy from the staff made guests uncomfortable, and I am truly saddened by how this event turned out.
I would not recommend La La Land to other families based on this experience. I am requesting a formal response and appropriate action to address the lack of service and support...
Read moreI went to this location recently. The kids had lots of fun. Their area was clean + also attended a birthday party while there. The only thing that I would say caused me to rate them with a 3 out of five is how they made everybody leave at the end of the party. The booked time was from 1:30 to 3:30 but by 3:00 p.m. they were moving balloons and everything out of the room because they were hosting another birthday party at 3:30 in that same room. I think that they should have at least a 30 minute buffer between birthday parties so that this does not happen as the person is paying for the space while they have it. They should be able to enjoy friends and family and guests during that period of time. The areas were clean. They had lots of staff to monitor, the bathrooms were super clean. The entertainment in those areas for the bigger kids and the smaller kids were perfect as I have 3-year-old and a 8-year-old so they both had an awesome time there. The entrance is able to accommodate several people as they have several computers there for people to register and you can register online beforehand. No other complaints besides the transition between birthdays...
