I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Palacio del Mofongo, and I have to say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped foot inside the restaurant, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, who made me feel right at home.
The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The decor was tastefully done, with a touch of traditional Dominican elements that added to the overall charm of the place.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the mofongo. El Palacio del Mofongo truly lives up to its name, as they serve some of the most delicious and authentic mofongo I've ever tasted. The mofongo was perfectly seasoned, with a rich and flavorful combination of garlic, pork, and plantains. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness that left me craving for more.
The menu at El Palacio del Mofongo offers a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, there is something for everyone. The portions were generous, and the presentation of the dishes was impeccable.
Not only was the food at El Palacio del Mofongo outstanding, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. They were happy to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations.
Overall, I highly recommend El Palacio del Mofongo to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. From the delicious food to the friendly staff, this restaurant has it all. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in some mouthwatering mofongo and immerse yourself in the vibrant flavors of the...
Read moreIf you like simply throwing away your money please give me a call as it’s better in my pocket than the in the hands of the owner of this place. After having a great night beforehand my party of 10 decided to stop at this restaurant for some authentic Hispanic food. From the moment we arrived we heard music blasted at very obnoxious level’s similarly to a club setting. However the moment we step in they have tables setup as if this place was a Michelin star restaurant where you overpay for a small meal that doesn’t fill you up. That in itself was very unbalancing, after being seated we ordered appetizers and main courses which had to be changed for a few people because they ran out of white rice… when we received our appetizers they disappeared as they where amazing and gave us very high hopes for the main course. While waiting we observed a gentleman drinking heavily at the bar and being very obnoxious, there was a gentleman performing live music whom we requested a song from. When he began singing the gentleman at the bar got very upset due to the change of genre (still keeping it Hispanic however) that he cut the music off and attempted to bribe the musician to not take any request from us. Shortly after we found out the gentleman who’s being very rude and getting completely wasted is the owner of the restaurant. This made a lot of sense since we watched the staff at the restaurant drink while working more than probably needed. From there it just keeps going down, the few. Orders of white rice we did received where undercooked and hard as rocks we where basically eating pebbles. We had a few kids with us who ordered fries which where terrible along with all the sandwiches we ordered. In the end the water and appetizers was the only food...
Read moreFirst time visiting this place after two great friends highly recommended it to us.
O well I guess it was not my day.
(1) Got seated on a table without any on it. (No plates, no glasses, no eating utensils, no plates)
(2) Waiter was very non customer friendly.
(3) I asked a question on a plate and it seems that it was too much to ask.
(4) After a very very very long time bread was brought to the table. Still no napkins, no eating utensils, still no plates or glass with water.
(5) did I forgot to mentioned the waiter never ask us if we wanted to order a started, salad, etc.
(6) I had to call another waitress to bring us the eating utensils and plates so we can start eating the bread at least.
(7) food, was great, but it took a very long time over an hour aprox.
(8) waited for another long time to ask for a Togo container and the bill. Well a Togo container was given but no bag. Everyone else gotten Togo containers and bags.
Note: (1) if we were not welcome or known that it was going to be like this they should have told us to leave. I wanted to just pay for the two sprites and just leave. But we stayed to see.
(2) first time visiting this place, I guess it will also be our last time.
(3) Hope others will have a better experience than us.
This is why no tips were given and the One star was for the little of effort and the little service given by the waitress.
Never again at this place. In my opinion bad experience, bad hospitality, no recommendations other than the place looks good and what we order was good.
But piss poor service from the waitress. Poor hospitality.
I guess if I would asked for a possible veterans discount that would have been another experience...
