4 days ago, my mom and I took a ride to Wellington to see if Ashley’s or City Furniture had a nice sofa sleeper for my den. We live in Boynton Bch. I wasn’t impressed with anything at all. I had seen 2 sofa sleepers advertised and they looked nice online. One of them was in the showroom. The other was not. Definitely didn’t look as nice in person. So, we left and headed over to Rooms to go. I just moved out to Boynton a little over 2 mos ago and needed to purchase all brand new furniture for my new townhouse. I went on T-giving wknd which was the wknd I moved here. I was able to get the majority of my furniture that I needed in one day at RTG but it was at the Boca Location. Some things came sporadically and others I knew there would be a wait b/c they were on back order. I may have waited 2 mos for my bedroom set, but it was worth the wait. Everything I ordered was worth it. I am SO HAPPY with all of my furniture. The reason why I’m writing this is b/c the gentleman that helped us in Wellington was absolutely fabulous!!!! He knows his stuff. His name is Dan. I kept calling him,” Dan The Man!!!” He’s straight forward, yet knows the furniture industry. Eventho I had a good experience in Boca, moving forward for any furniture needs, I will be going to the Wellington location. We had a wonderful experience with Dan and if you happen to go in there, I would request him. You won’t be sorry. I believe he is off Tues and Thursdays. Anyways- I just had to share my experience b/c I typically don’t leave reviews but I felt Dan deserved one. He was honest, funny, and on point. Thank You Dan for all your help at the Wellington RTG. FYI- while I was there, I took advantage of trying out other mattresses b/c the one I got (Top of the line Stearns and Foster)) was way too firm for me. I have a 90 day trial on it and I asked Dan what his recommendation was for the type of Mattress I was looking for. One that wouldn’t cause back pain when I wake up in the Am. He showed me 2 and of the two, I fell in love with the Casper Snow. Plus- I’m getting 2 head pillows that are the same materials used in the mattress. That’s comfort ALL AROUND!!! I don’t think I’m Going to want to leave my bed anytime soon. Lol It’s coming this Wed and I can’t wait. My sofa sleeper is coming this Tues. There’s ONE MORE THING I HAD/HAVE my eye on in that store. It’s the Stanford gray chaise. Unfort, first avail delivery is March 2nd or 3rd but not only is it a huge love seat with a cup holder on both arms, it is velvet and as comfortable as a cloud. I sat on it and fell in love with it. That may very well be my next...
Read moreThe driver did not confirm with me how the configuration was prior to taking it out of truck/box or the order when it was then out of box and I realized it was wrong he couldn’t take it back he then said he’d take care of it and that I didn’t need to call anyone. I reconfirmed by calling anyways and they let me know he put notes in but that I in fact have to call the store. I called the store and now they’re saying that the sales person has to “admit they put the wrong configuration in” or I have to pay the $89 delivery fee to resend a new one out and I have to wait for her to come back to work on her next shift to situate it. I specifically told the lady at the store that I wanted the exact same model the exact same way it was on the floor. She did not review what she placed in before I paid just confirmed that she placed the order and delivery date. I am not paying $89 again and banking it on her “admitting fault” on top of the fact that the manager said it would be the sales person who would “pay it” as if it’s coming out of their pocket! Ridiculous company if that’s the case. There is only one proper way it can even FIT in my house properly this wouldn’t be a mistake in my part if she didn’t understand what I meant when I said order it like the floor model this is where the short side is that’s not on me and customer satisfaction should be main priority rather than a pointing fingers game. I will update my review if and when this is rectified properly.
Update: they called and confirmed that it was not my fault for the error and apologized and fixed it. So only taking one star off for how it was initially handled and for the drivers not being knowable. I’m satisfied with my outcome. I have a prompt delivery date again and didn’t have to pay an extra...
Read moreThe Rooms to Go brand has undergone a significant decline. On a recent Saturday afternoon, we visited the store to purchase a headboard and frame, assisted by a helpful salesperson named Tommy. After declining the extended service plan offered by Tommy, we noticed Tommy talking to another employee, who turned out to be a manager who approached us pushing the plan again. We politely declined for the second time!
Delivery day came, only to find out they delivered the wrong color and size headboard. The assembled frame was crooked of course, leaving us to sleep with the boxspring and mattress on the floor as the old one was disposed of the day of to make room for the new one. Can you imagine how difficult it is for an 80-year-old woman to get out of a bed so low to the ground? And why weren't the items checked before loading them onto the truck?
Despite numerous calls and apologies, the situation wasn't rectified promptly. Even the $50 discount offered by a gentleman named John at their call center felt inadequate. The subsequent interactions with management revealed a lack of accountability and poor communication. The next day, I spoke with another manager named David. I voiced my dissatisfaction with the entire post-purchase experience and requested additional compensation, which he promptly declined, stating that the delivery fee was the extent of what he could offer. It felt like I heard more about what management couldn't do rather than what they could!
This experience has led me to reconsider future purchases with Rooms to Go and to share my disappointment with others. While Rooms to Go may thrive, they’ll lose my business and any recommendations I could give. Great job, Rooms to Go management, on failing to take care of...
