La Vie Nails and Spa — Local services in Loxahatchee Groves

This was my 3rd time at La Vie and it was enough to make me not want to come back. Some of the staff need a lesson in customer service and the appropriate way to touch clients when working with their hands, legs, and feet. The lady that did my nails had a tattoo on the right side of her right hand, short hair she wore in a ponytail, as well as a rose gold apple watch with a pink band. She was so ROUGH. SO ROUGH. Instead of telling me to move my hands she would jerk them herself, push them back, and pull them forward. I've been to a nail salon plenty of times and I know a nail tech is going to move your hands but literally jerking them around, it was ridiculous.

Not only that, she rushed through my pedicure and was rough with that too. There were two people sitting there prior to going over and they were still there when I was done. Pedicures are usually a relaxing experience and this was horrible. Nothing worse then feeling as though you don't matter when you are a paying and tipping customer just like anyone else. If you don't have time to do my nails you should not have taken me period. Not only that she filed my big toe into an circular shape which I never asked for and didn't realize until the damage was done. Who does that? I've never seen circle toes. I like to try different nail spots since I’m new to the area went in and was promptly greeted, told them I wanted gel on the toes and acrylic on my nails, they tried to convince me to upgrade to gel but I declined because I know what I want. Noticed a lady leaving and the guy charges her $92 so I kept note, now when it was my time to pay it was $92 too so I think they just throw prices out to charge you without really adding up your services. Wont be back because of that.

Update 11/2022 Forgot I said I wouldn’t go back and took my daughter for her sweet 16 bday to get full set and gel pedi… we walked into an empty salon on a Wednesday morning before noon and the workers were just in their cell phones (women). The man greeted us and I informed him it was her bday and what we wanted he said that’s fine and so I turned to leave out and leave my 16 year old to go run errands while she was serviced but before I got to my car something inside said turn around and check and see if she’s ok. I went to look in the window and the women were talking amongst themselves and smiling with the guy about who would do it so I told my daughter to come on because there seemed to be a discrepancy on who would work and I don’t like inconveniencing people. If I could give negative stars I would. My 12 year old daughter and I tried this nail salon recently and I was truly disappointed! I believed it was the owner that did my daughters nails and she was extremely rude and out of line. I asked her to cut down my daughters nexgen nails because I like them short or at an active length. She told me she would file down. The length that they where at, she simply needed to cut them down and then file. She filed and filed which caused the nails to stick up somewhat. I heard her ask my daughter if she liked the length and my daughter said she needed to ask her mom and I heard her say to my daughter, “no, why!” I looked over and said to her because I’m her mom! She yelled at me and told me to let her do her job! Let me tell you, it took everything in me not to fly across the table and slap the ** out of her, instead, I stayed quiet, knowing that I needed to set and example for my daughter and knowing I’d discuss with my daughter later, and knowing this establishment would never get another dime from me or any other potential referrals I could have given.
