Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Royal Palm Beach

I love nothing Bundt cakes but I don’t recommend this location. I just picked up my birthday cake and asked for it chilled- if something is chilled the frosting should be fairly hard. Well it was room temperature and the frosting got on the sides of the cellophane and it was really hard to get it out of the wrapping. I call them to tell them it’s not chilled and I was basically called a liar and told to put it in the fridge, and to cut the cellophane off so it doesn’t get on the sides (too late for that). For starters a properly chilled cake would not smear on the cellophane because the icing is harder, and I don’t have space in my fridge since I’m having a party- which is why I asked for it chilled. Patricia was rude, unapologetic, and doesn’t seem to realize how excited I was to have this cake for my 30th birthday party. She spoke like I was bothering her and she did not care. Even if you can’t do anything to fix it a little empathy goes a long way, and she needs to remember her customers are celebrating something special. It’s the center piece for a decorated table and now the frosting looks messy. Not the end of the world but I will not return to this location. I have ordered from other locations and they were much colder, I do know the difference between something chilled or something lightly refrigerated. They should check their refrigerators or start freezing cakes that are requested ‘chilled’. Based on other reviews I’m not the only one that was spoken to with a tone and not treated like a customer. I have been going to this location for a while now and have always had great service. Today was different, the white girl with rings on every finger that "assisted me" today was not happy to be there. The cooler where you keep the bundt cakes had a sign that said "out of service". Ok, the cooler is not working, got it. I asked her if there were cakes available (being Valentine's day and all), she nodded yes. I looked at the different flavors and asked if all flavors were available, she responded with another nod. I asked for a chocolate one and a strawberry, she turned around to go get them. Came back, rang me up and told me it was $11. She speaks!!! I handed her my credit card and she pointed at what looked like a small black box, what do you know, she wanted me to pay using that device. Obviously she did not want to be there nor she wanted to talk. It's ok, customer service or simply taking an order is not for everyone but it is up to you to realize this is not the job for you. Run, you are not happy and you are not making anyone happy being there. There are options, find them and be happy. I'm happy when I go there and get my husband a delicious bundt cake, we've ordered them for work meetings and special occasions, it brings a smile to everyone who orders them and eats them. If I could give ZERO stars I would! Popped in with my little one to check the place out, and the blonde elderly lady was completely rude! She had a smug look on her face like she was annoyed that she even had to help us at all. And then acted even more annoyed that I asked what the prices were of items in the case (keep in mind this was our first time here so I didn’t even realize items were on a screen above my head, I was just looking at the yummy stuff in the case lol) Her personality was almost like we were peasants and how dare we come in there and look at the case instead of ordering an expensive cake. Very snobbish and rude. I actually was in there to order a more expensive cake for my daughters birthday but after the way she acted I was completely turned off from giving them any good business, so I decided to only purchase a small snack size $4.25 cake! When purchasing it my daughter asked if they had any forks, so I asked the lady and her response, uh no! At this point I turned around and just got the heck out of there. Please get someone to greet your customers, because this lady was a complete day ruining human!
