Good customer service in a bad situation is taken care of with two things, communication and taking care of the customer, in that order. The night before our rental there were torrential rains that came through the area. I woke up to phone calls from Backcountry Attitudes. It seems that the trail was washed out by the storm in the second half of the route, and they were going to switch us from the 4 hour package to the 2 hour package and refund us the difference. Communication part taken care of. When we arrived everyone was so friendly and apologetic. They got us all taken care of and threw in some extras for free for our inconvenience. While I'd have loved to see the canyon part that got washed out, this was out of their control and they still went out of their way to take care of us. We had a blast, the machines were great and the trail starts off easy to get you used to handling the SxS before you start tackling harder more technical terrain. Definitely would recommend Backcountry Attitudes if you are in the area and looking for some adventure by a group of folks who definitely...

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing afternoon… keep scrolling. But if you want to feel like Mad Max with better sunscreen and cooler shades, this is your ride!

We rented an ATV for 2 hours, and let’s just say we had an amazing time! The machine was solid, fast, and handled the terrain like a beast on a mission. Bonus points for making us feel cooler than we actually are—shout out to the Bluetooth speakers blasting our victory playlist while we dominated the dusty trails.

Pro tips: • Wear a hat (preferably one that won’t fly off at Mach 10). • Bring water • Hold on tight and don’t skip arm day—you’ll be gripping that wheel like your ex’s number is saved in there.

Would we do it again? In a heartbeat. Would our hair ever be the same? Absolutely not—and that’s just how we like it.

And bonus points for them blowing the dust off of us with the air compressor when we got back! 🫶

10/10 adrenaline. 12/10 family bonding....

Fantastic group of people running a very professional, yet casual shop. They do everything to make your tour something you will enjoy. We did the three hour guided tour and couldn't have been happier. Worth every penny in addition to the two hour drive each way to get there. Beautiful scenery, top notch machines and a guide who really made the trip better than if we had chosen the self guided tour. This is such a great way to see this part of the country; you really couldn't experience the scenery any other way. Maybe you will get lucky and see some wildlife, though they pretty much hear you coming. We were able to see a herd of elk right at the end of the trip, which really wrapped it up on s positive note. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for some unique fun in this beautiful part of a...

We did the 3-hour Backcountry Buggy Tour. I knew I would enjoy it, but I wasn't sure how much my wife and kids would enjoy it. Thanks to the BCA staff and our tour guide (J.R.) it was a hit for all of us. It was great to get off the beaten path and see the more rugged areas around Ruidoso that you typically don't get to see. If you like getting off-road in an OHV and seeing some cool country (and learning about it from your guide), I recommend you check out BCA. We'll definitely be back when we return to Ruidoso.
