Clothes Encounters Laundromat and Dry Cleaner — Attraction in Rutherford

Before I begin my review, I would like to address the nitwits who gave this small and efficient local business less than five stars. So here it is: shut up.

I could barely move, and my partner was overwhelmed with not only maintaining a home for two people but keeping up with my obsessive-compulsive requirement to keep all clothes clean (I identify with the bathroom scene in 'Mommie Dearest').

We've had our underpants and hoopskirts picked up weekly - like clockwork - for three years. Each time the laundry comes back, it's like we ordered a brand new wardrobe. And our load is not light. We are a couple who change sheets weekly and like to change undershirts when a commercial comes on. Clothes Encounters keeps up with our habits, and I'm happy to say that I'm a happy and impressed customer.

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would, my dryer died middle cycle and I drove over to this place thinking I coukd get in and out quickly. But when I walked in I was greeted with a lady telling me that last wash was at 5:30 and they are closing for the night. I told her all I needed was a dryer because mine just died and she repeated saying "we're closing". Per their door and google they were closing at 7pm and I walked in at 6:05pm. Drying a small load of clothes wouldn't take 55 minutes, yet she kept saying they were closing. SMH. I guess it is off to Sonic Suds where they are very nice to...

Nice cozy spot to do laundry. I haven't used the machines here, but they seem modern enough to not constantly break like at other locations. The place is on the smaller size, but at the right times, it's pretty empty and overall it's always clean and neat. I use the dry cleaners in the back. My only issue is with some new pants i had tailored. I was charged for the tailor and dry cleaning. When I got them back, they weren't dry cleaned and...
