Amazing place to be in contact with nature. There are lots of camping areas (prior reservation is recommended if you plan to stay) and some shelters that you can reserve to keep your belongings safe. There are also grills, however during winter and until March-April they're unavailable since the nature is a bit dry so this is mainly to avoid any unwanted fire (there's a Ban if you start any fire during this season), so if you're planning to grill during this season I highly recommend to take your grill (propane based mainly) to avoid the ban. The place has also a river where you can swim although the water is cold so just keep that in mind. Moreover you can rent some pedal boats, kayaks and paddle boards. The park is pet friendly and it's perfect to go with your family or friends. There are also a few trails to do hiking, two of them take you to caves and one of them gets you an amazing view of the whole park, it's a bit longer than the other ones but the effort is completely worth. The check in for camping and shelters is at 2:00pm and the checkout is at 12:00pm. Inside the park there's a shop where you can buy groceries, water shoes, swim suits, etc... Although it's pricier than outside, so I recommend it only for emergencies. There are also restrooms and showers (surprisingly these have hot water). Definitely...

She stated dogs are not allowed in dwelling of adjacent cabin my wife rented. I received 4 emails prior to arrival about the rules for pet dogs. I was on the cross campsite. My dog, never was within 40 feet of the cabin and only for few hours during loading before we departed. My wife lost her $100 deposit. As far the fauna goes, I couldn't find it due to all the trash I picked up during my 24 hour tent stay. Highly disappointed!
I don't recommend. Will try Lost Maples State & Natural Area. I did get this beautiful shot on...
