Lily Pond — Attraction in Sacramento

This is a Lotus pond, not a Lily pond. It is beautiful, peaceful and full of wildlife, such as, ducks, turtles, fish, dragonflies, and geese. The flowers bloom in June and July. A great place for photographers! Bring your zoom lens because they cut back the flowers from the edge for the ducks and fish. It is a huge pond and maintained very well. I love it.

UPDATE: Two years ago there was an outbreak of Bird Flu at the Sacramento Zoo, the pond was emptied, and all the wildlife is gone. It now has some water and fountains, but still under construction. Very sad for such a...
