Richard Marriott Park — Attraction in Sacramento

This is a great park. It is huge, with many play areas well designed to accommodate any age child, and an exercise area for adults. The toddler play area is nicely covered with a shade structure and there are great seating and barbecue amenities. About half the park is open or has light trees, but half feels like an oak forest, and is fun to "explore" as a child. There is a nice jogging trail that borders the entire park. We love this park. The only issue I have is that the smaller playground is always caked in spider webs and it can get quite sticky from the sap from the trees. At first I thought someone sprayed soda everywhere, then I rralized it was just sap . it would help if they would occasionally power wash the playground from time to time . I have emailed them to complain, but they have not replied or done anything about it. But other than that we love this park with all the tall trees and squirrels everywhere. One of the other better parks in Sacramento. Lots of variations of things to do in the park to keep the kids entertained. There is a section for kids and another section for bigger kids to play in. Lots of old trees surround the park as well. Just a very serene park. Folsom and other eastern cities, please take heed and build more quality parks like...
