We got takeout tonight and it was a huge disappointment. We ordered once before probably six months ago and it was delicious. But apparently the menu has just changed and is a lot smaller now. Our food tonight was terrible. It’s also disappointing that it didn’t look anything like the photos on their website, and included other items not shown instead. For example, I ordered the Tandori Veggie Mix which shows a salad and naan, and there was no salad or naan included. It was a tiny portion of rice, some weird potatoes (not in the photo) and very subpar veggie and cheese mix that was so excessively dry, lukewarm, and flavorless. I ordered this meal because it was supposed to have salad, if I wanted potatoes I would have ordered those. But I didn’t. And my husband’s Tandoori chicken was very dry. His meal didn’t include anything else in the website photo either. When he picked it up someone told him they included new items or something. That’s not what we ordered, we ordered according to the photos on your website, so if those aren’t accurate, please update them so people don’t feel ripped off. Not sure what happened to this place, but the quality is terrible versus last time we ordered, I feel ripped off for what we paid versus what we got. Please go back to the old menu and...
Read moreI ordered takeout. Since there are literally no Indian restaurants near by at all, I'm very disappointed. I did not like the samosas. The filling inside is made differently from what I'm used to, and it was very dry. I didn't understand the texture. Maybe it was old or something?
I had the lamb vindaloo. It could have been seasoned a bit more, but I fixed it. The lamb was not tender enough either, and there wasn't a lot of lamb or anything other than 1 small potato and broth! I got like 4 pieces of lamb. For $20? I took out the lamb and cooked it some more to make it more tender. If I'm only getting 4 small pieces, I'm gonna make it softer and tastier.
After doing all of this work, I rather just make it myself for less than half the price, or buy a frozen dinner from the store. I highly recommend getting the Deep Indian Kitchen Chicken Vindaloo with Turmeric Rice for $5-$6 at your local Raleys or Bel-Air. That brand makes other good classics too. It is different since it has coconut cream, but it will satisfy...
Read moreI seriously want to love this brew pub located walking distance from my house, but sadly I don't. I have been here twice, once we ordered food and the second time just beer. They do have an awesome selection of beers and ciders. If you can't find something to try, you probably don't like beer or cider, lol. The food is a little lacklustre. Your typical "bar" food...burgers, wings and nachos. They also had Indian style potato patties which I tried. You get three silver dollar sized potato disks that taste like they came from the grocery frozen aisle. Stick with the wings. The other part of this place that doesn't work for me is the atmosphere. The decor is nothing special and there is a somewhat seemingly out of place zen fountain type thing by one table. There is also a manager/owner whose job seems to be hover around and growl...
