I have been coming to this pizza guys for 15 years now so it saddens me to write this review. I picked up a pizza and cheesy bread order one night and found out a few days later that they charged me twice for the same order. After work, i went in to talk to the manager to hopefully get it resolved. After looking it up, the manager informed me that they already refunded me and it might take a couple days to show up on my side. He then said that if the refund doesnt show up then i should come back to resolve it. Why wouldnt it show up if youre telling me thats its been refunded to me? Well, i waited a week and my refund never came through. So i came back today and saw the same manager. After telling him i never got my refund, he says hes going to the back to call their bank and figure out whats wrong. Im now looking at a menu preparing to order some pizza to take home in case they would rather give me credit and not a cash refund. To my surprise, he comes back and tells me they only charged me once. For the second time, i pull up my bank statement on my phone showing him i had been charged twice for the same amount on the same day. He then tells me to call my bank and thats what i do. I call my bank right in front of him and go through the waiting process it takes when you call your bank. My bank agrees with me that i was charged twice. The banker finds out that this is my 2nd time here trying to resolve this and they are surprised. They are also surprised that the manager is telling me that they only charged me once. I am now irritated and annoyed because i feel like this manager is either calling me a liar or he went to the back and didnt even call their bank. Sy, you had my phone in your hand with my bank account open and it showed that you guys charged me twice. Anyways, my banker told me that they are going to fight for me and dispute the charge. However, its going to take 60 days for this process to happen. After i get off the phone, the manager then apologizes to me for being charged twice and that he would have given me a cash refund! If you could have resolved this, why didnt you?! Instead you let me get on the phone with my bank and be on hold and go thru that hassle over $33.69! He then suggests that i could call corporate to try and get this resolved! No thanks! Ive already called my bank and i dont like being on the phone and being on hold. I would have taken a pizza and some cheesy bread and would have been just fine! We have been coming here for 15 years, probably ordering once a month, and ordering more often for us and our friends during football season. The pizza isnt amazing but its good enough for us and its close to where we live. But this has left a sour taste in my mouth and we will be taking our business elsewhere from now. Its been a good 15 years pizza guys but ill gladly spend my money elsewhere now. Food can be good but a bad experience with service can...
Read moreI had my very first "Pizza Guys" pizza for dinner today. Using a coupon and handing over $23 dollars, I got an extra large four topping pizza, and a pint of ice cream. Not bad I gotta say.
As for the taste and pitting it against other pizza makers that charge approximately the same, I'd say it's much better than Pappa Johns, also better than Pizza Hut's greasy excuse, which by default makes it also better than BJ's (aka: the brewery) greasy-oil dripping concoction. To use a boxing term, this pizza punches above its weight, meaning it will KO (...that means knock-out...) Round Table Pizza, specifically the one next to Bel Air Supermarket near Florin Rd & I-5 Fwy. All-in-all, it's not bad. Is it better than Marri's near Disneyland and New Yorks Best Pizzaria in Mission Viejo, well no it's not, but then again, those places are more expensive. In racing terms, will it open a one car lead against California Pizza Kitchen, according to my taste buds, not a chance in... ...well, you know. Then again, Pizza Guys is a take-out only maker, not a sit-in and dine brick-and-mortar business like CPK, so that comparison is not exactly fair. How about I put it this way, it is not the Bruce Lee of pizzas, but then again it's not the Ralph Macchio (...think Karate Kid if you got no imagination... :D ) of pizzas either. ...
Read moreSecond time ordering from this location and having small baby ants inside our pizza! Has anyone else experienced this?! The last time they had us take the pizza back in with the ants and they replaced it with a new ant free pizza. I Just called to complain and asked to speak with the manager given this was the second time this has happened. Not to get a replacement this time but to get reimbursed. I spoke to the manager there who said her name was Elizabeth and asked to speak to her hirer up, the one who she answers to and she said she’s the store manager no one was higher than her there. I said well I will be reaching out to corporate do you have a store number I can reference for your location? She cut me off by saying okay that’s fine and hung up the phone. I called back to speak with her again and she apologized like she didn’t hang up intentionally and proceeded to be snotty and rude. Do not recommend going to this location unless you like the added protein of ants inside your pizza and rude...
