Is social media as bad as we think?
Social media is a big factor in a lot of people's lives nowadays. Almost all of us use social media in some way, whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc. A lot of recent studies say that social media is bad for you. But is it really?
Social media is a big part of modern society. According to a recent study, the average person uses social media 2 hours a day . That is of course a lot of time sitting doom-scrolling on your phone. But is it really that bad? Social media has a lot of benefits. There are of course a lot of brain-killing content on social media, but if you find the right content, you might be able to learn something new, and even train your brain. On social media’s such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok etc. there are a lot of educational videos, that also are entertaining to watch, so they keep your attention while teaching you. There are of course also bad parts of social media. A lot of problems can emerge if you use it too much. One main problem that arises is lack of sleep. In a recent study by the University of Pittsburgh where they took 1788 U.S. adults ages 19-32. Through the study they discovered that people who more frequently check social media had three times the likelihood of sleep disturbances, compared to those who checked least frequently. These problems can however be avoided if you have a healthy lifestyle, and you don’t use social media too much. Another benefit of social media is that it allows people to connect. Cons: The Bell (ugh it was a bit annoying to hear the kids ring the barn bell every couple of minutes) Lack of places for parents to just sit an observe. Read moreMay 2022: I went with my son and his entire Kindergarten class for their end of the year field trip, first time going here. I was surprised! What a cool place for the kiddos to let loose, play and have fun. It's basically a giant indoor playground. There's a cute gift shop with reasonably priced items, a few private classroom sized rooms, and a lot of interesting stuff for the kids to do. Toddlers to big kids would enjoy this place. Staff was super friendly. Clean environment. Recommend!
January 2025: I had my 3 year olds birthday party here, how nice! I paid $190 for a really big private room, I could have up to 20 people and pay $5 per person if I went over the 20.
