I called this store because I had a 70" television that needed a repair it belonged to my husband who is deceased so I wanted to sell it. the person I spoke to on the phone said they would give me $20 for the television .I paid 1700 for the TV. The person began to explain to me how much it would cost to fix the TV. The problem I have with this experience is not the salesperson disagreeing with me but it was the tone in which he was speaking to me he was very hostile and very nasty because I mentioned that he was not going to sell that television for $20 once it was fixed. I did not expect to get $1700 for the TV but I felt like the price should be reasonable not $20 he's not going to turn around and sell it for $40. Very disappointed with my experience. My husband loved this store he would be let down. You can disagree or choose to bypass an offer but do so professionally.
To whom ever replied I was not speaking with you. So you can't comment on the conversation. I know what happened. People have bad days. I've always received good service from this store which made it so shocking. I don't stand to gain anything from lying. I have no reason to. I gain more by simply keeping my TV than selling it to starlet. so I don't have any reason to lie. sometimes people speak to people without restraint sometimes they're not feeling well sometimes they are stressed and sometimes they have a bad day it happens. let the review be a way to just improve and keep aware of your customer's feelings and if you don't like a particular deal or something that's being offered it is a polite way to say no that's not for us. it's not for us keep it simple and keep it...
Read moreFall of 2020, our smart TV's picture cut out. We took it to Starlit, and they fixed it in about a week. They guaranteed the work for a year. Last week the same issue happened. Initially when I brought it up, the person said it would be $80 dollars to repair. I had my receipt in hand and asked what happened to the 1 year guarantee. He said, "ok, it'll be $50". I told him he didn't understand how a warranty worked so I guess I'll have to pay it. I was pretty ticked off. They fixed it the issue this time in a day. When I went to pick it up, I was ready to pay the $50, give the gentleman a piece of my mind and write a scathing review online. However, a different gentleman noted that we had been in before for the same issue. I said, "yes and I was under the impression it was under warranty, but apparently not." He said he did not know why the person I spoke with would tell me that, but the TV is still under warranty and there would be no charge today. I thanked him, picked up my TV and said I would provide a much better review so here it is. The person who honored their work and their word was very nice, professional and understanding. The other gentleman was not. I wish I could give it a 5 star review, but I was pretty upset that the other person was so dismissive of my concerns. I will say the person I saw today saved a customer because I would never have given them another dime had I payed for them to fix a television still...
Read moreWas reading reviews since I haven’t been here before and I was disgusted to read the Starlit’s response to a customer, so much so that I had to review your response.
When a business can’t even write a professional response online, it says ALOT. It doesn’t matter how the customer is acting, what happened, what their response is, it’s your responsibility to be an adult.
I’m reading a review that is not only written well, kindly and trying to let you know what didn’t go well and your response was rude, condescending, spiteful, childish and unprofessional. (Even if this person wrote a review that was hateful and rude, like your comment, YOU NEED TO BE PROFESSIONAL). I’m also noticing is this a specific issue with mostly women? I’ve been around long enough to see male dominated industries treat their female customers and coworkers like absolute trash. I don’t care what the reason is for your lack of maturity, it’s time to evolve and grow up.
You couldn’t even hold yourself together ONLINE, I can’t even imagine how your behavior can get at the slightest inconvenience in person. That being said, I will not be coming to your store and I’m happy I go through reviews FIRST to see how the...
