St George Island Lighthouse Beach — Attraction in Saint George Island

I love this beach. We've gone many times, and my only complaint is that parking can be a fight for survival. Local businesses will shut you out with "customer-only parking", so on the busiest of days, people will just start parking in places on the grass and next to the no-parking signs, just to be able to enjoy a beach day. Its not ideal, but I can't imagine its easy to make a bigger parking lot on such a small island.

The beach is kept pretty clean, I think people usually treat it with respect and understand the sand is not their personal garbage. Officers ride around and ensure things are safe. Trash cans are always overflowing on busy days, but I recommend taking your own small garbage off the island and throwing it away anywhere else, to be courteous. Enjoy this...
