In short, an excellent place to stay if you're looking for decent rooms, and budget friendly. The only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is for 2 issues, bathrooms are a little out dated and the walls are pretty thin. So if you plan on doing anything remotely noisy, just know that your neighbors will probably hear it. 🤔 Long review: Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived 2 hours before check in and our room was all ready, so we got to check-in early. The rooms are good, the shower honestly has the best water pressure of any hotel I've stayed at! And I've been in some very nice hotels including one of Hilton's paradise grand hotels. The bed was good for us, firm but we slept very nicely. This Inn is right on the beach, absolutely beach view and short walk to the beach. It has a pool which is very clean. Cons: First thing, as mentioned in my short review, walls are thin. So not too good for doing anything above speaking volume or your neighbors will hear it. The toilet is old and water stained, still usable just looks bad. Bed is nice but the frame seems a little unsteady, moves a bit when you sit on it or lay down.

Location, location, location. That's what this hotel has. Mid-day we checked in and dropped our stuff in room and headed out. Came back a few hours later and found a used maxi pad on bathroom counter after we switched light on. I called front desk to report it. Lady at desk was rude and said our general manager inspects all rooms couldn't be. Well must of not did this one cause the used maxi pad on counter, phone didn't work, the towel bar in bathroom is missing and if anyone would of checked, the first bed is uneven and rattles when you move. After having to request it, she said she would have someone remove it from room and would tell manager to contact me. Not one call from the manager during our stay. Even at check out the man said that manager was in meeting but would call. Nope. Been 4 days and no call. So if all you want is a beach front room, this is your place. But don't expect a clean fully functional room or any kind of customer service.

We had a nice time here, but were not expecting anything fancy. It reminded me of the places we would stay going to Florida growing up. I can see how it could potentially be a bad experience, with limited housekeeping and pets allowed. A lot of smokers and they don't seem to have anyone to go around picking up the bottles and other trash that the guests leave wherever they go. The vinyl floors had to be swept of sand and you have to go down to the office for a broom. For us, we got lucky and it was fine. We knew it wasn't going to be the Westin. Our room had a nice view of the lighthouse. The room had a diner booth, fridge and microwave. We enjoyed the pool and the beach is right there. They have a little covered area to hang out in between the beach and pool. I found it to be laid back, you can easily wander from the beach to the pool to the room without hassle. I liked the vintage vibes and got slightly obsessed with the breezeblocks.

Absolutely the WORST motel EVER! Wish I could rate a zero. I love to travel & have been all over but I have never walked in a room & walked right back out. The room smelled horrible & my son's allergies went off immediately. The front desk clerk "Christy" is the rudest person I have ever met. When I addressed the issue she told me there was no mold & then I simply asked what the chances are I could get a refund. She said the manager would have to contact me later to which I said that's fine. I place the keys on the counter and she questioned "so you are not going to stay?" I politely said no and all hell broke loose. She began to raise her voice telling me I should have told her the room wasn't going to work earlier & that I had been there for "hours". The time from getting out of my truck for check in to check out & back in my truck was all of 40 minutes. I responded with I'm not going to argue with you, I'll wait & speak to your manager. I was then told "you dont have to be rude" to which I replied "I feel you are being very rude & unprofessional" She leaned over the counter as close to my face as she could with both hands on the counter and yelled "honey I'm not rude, I'm the most pleasant person you will ever meet" then snatched the keys off the counter & literally threw them on the counter behind her while yelling "your out!" And told my to take my money "& shove it up my a**" and all of this in front of my 10 year old son! SAVE YOUR MONEY drive across the bridge & stay at the Apalach River Inn or drive a little further to the El Governor both of these hotels are wonderful with great staff...

The only saving grace for this "motel" is it is on the beach. The accommodations are horrific: besides being dated, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, peeling paint on the walls, no attempt to patch walls from previous TV mount, the Internet was hit or miss, the bedside lamp was rusted. We cut short our stay even though is cost us an additional night. The ceilings were 1960's popcorn which gives the mold in the bathroom more surface to grow. When we arrived the bedside clock was unplugged, upon moving the table to reconnect it we discovered Cheerios & other unidentified debris, obviously never cleaned. The Internet connection was misconfigured, the gateway stopped giving out IP addresses, that resolved when I suggested they reboot the gateway. The next day it stopped handing out IP's again & then the service provider died too..... The desk person said she couldn't leave the desk to reboot the gateway again and apparently wasn't able to have anyone come to check it out.... They were attempting to update the exterior but it looked like it was a long ongoing process. The floor area at the beach shower/foot wash was in all sand, so once you washed the sand off you had to walk through the sand to the sidewalk. It didn't make much since to shower before entering the pool... To top that off multiple times when went to use the shower the water was off...

All in all, we will never stay there again, suggest you bypass it too....

Hopefully Google will let me post the pictures to backup the horrible conditions of the...

My family had taken a mini 1 night beach vacation since my mother in law was in town visiting from Pennsylvania. We had gotten to our room and everything so far was amazing. In the first few hours we were there was another family there, that had their toddler in a diaper swimming in the poo. Next thing we k ow they pooled her out of the pool with a massive poopy diaper, and proceeded to take it off and then wash her butt off in the pool (not wipe it with wipes, but wash it off IN the pool). Then decided that they would put her in a swimmer and didnt even put the diaper in the trash but in the cigarette chimney. I reported it to the front office, the maintenance guy came and through the diaper away properly and put something in the pool. My complaint is there was no pool shut down for a certain amount of time its supposed to be. Following putting stuff in the pool not even 15 minutes later there were people swimming in the pool. I would of loved to take my kids swimming but not when the pool incident was not properly taken care of. Then at 11:30 at night when both my 1 year old and 2 year old were sleeping they had tried placing someone else in our room, needless to say they were rudely awoken and the rest of my night was not very good. So no I will refer people here. On top of that paying $170 for one night and couldn't even utilize the pool, what a shame. $20 refund was all nothing was done. I would love to speak with someone other than the person who called...
