Hy-Vee Pharmacy — Attraction in Saint Joseph

Just another weird interaction at this spot. The pharmacist was just expecting me to read her mind I guess and throwing a passive aggressive attitude when I didn’t. Never mentioned payment was ready just kind of looked at me and then pointed at the card reader. Just a strange interaction overall with this unsolicited passive aggression. Didn’t ask if I had any questions with a new medication. Have only picked up a few times from here spread out over a few years and every time I’m thrown an attitude with no explanation. Don’t know if I just catch pharmacists on their bad days here or if getting off on the wrong foot with someone picking up a script is part of their training. Always regret not paying another 10-20 and just going elsewhere the few times...

Always have a good experience with the staff. Very friendly and polite. Have never had an issue with getting the right meds and on time. The placement of the pharmacy drive thru is a bad spot, not enough room for people waiting and it causes traffic jams in the parking lot. The main problem i have noticed happening quite often is people dropping off prescriptions and insisting they wait at the window for them to be filled. It's rude to othwr customers to make them wait so long. It's not hard to drop off the prescription and go wait in the parking lot so that others can get thru in a timely manner. I've heard the pharmacy staff ask people to park and wait but the people are selfish and...

This pharmacy always exceeds my expectations and easy to work with. Today pharmacist SM was beyond rude to myself and my PCP's office nurse as he refused to fill a narcotic without asking questions...nor would he listen to determine the cause of my need. (I have had 1 surgery since the RX was first ordered and another just after RX was filled. 2 docs increased the dosage and I asked my PCP to regulate the med. She tried, but he argued that it was too soon even though my doseage had went from 1 tab 3 times a day to 2 tabs 5 times a day. The new request was 1 tab 5 times a day and he refused it. It took my PCP calling him and she was hung up on... and me 4 trips in 2 days...
