Effective today 2/8 they steal 3% of tips to pay for those toast pads. It's just not right! And they apparently told all the staff at the beginning of their busy Saturday shift with no notice! Shame on management!
I leave the rest of my years old review unchanged so you know exactly what kind of customer I am when I say I will not be dining at big biscuit again until 100% of tips go to staff.
Been a regular here for about 10 years now. It's rare to not have an exceptionally pleasant experience. The food is always hot, fresh, and high quality.
Management is spectacular and are very receptive to customer suggestions. I've seen menu changes to improve dishes to local tastes as opposed to just discontinuing the option.
I love the dine in atmosphere - you are seated and served and no matter how busy the place is you never feel rushed out the door. It takes the breakfast diner vibe seriously. Don't like the channel that is on the nearby TV? Ask a server to change it and management will without a fuss.
Finally there is a variety of dishes and all are as delicious as any other. Want an omellete? They've got you covered with over 5 varieties. Biscuits and gravy? There are main dishes as well as whole platters that serve biscuits and gravy as a side. Something sweet? All their griddle options, pancakes, waffles, and french toast are amazing. Just want a country style home breakfast? They've got you covered with steak and eggs, ham and eggs, potatoes, hash browns, grits, toast and more. Their chicken fried steak is the best in town.
I've never been to another restaurant where you can order a dish of any variety and have it done well, quickly, and homemade. Highly recommend this place for your...
Read moreWent for breakfast 7/22/17 at 9-ish. Stepped into the waiting area with my mother, she went to sit and wait while they were taking care of a parrty of 6-7 people. While that was taking place we were there all alone for 1 minute. When the 2 greeters (both young, 1 was heavier) came back a fellow came in with his wife came in and they got seated first. When the greeter came back they went back to the station and started talking and their venture from the night before, leaving us to wait like we weren't there. I looked at my mother and she looked at me like "WHAT THE HELL". I looked at her and said "LETS GO WERE DONE HERE" The 2 girls ignored us and just kept talking. I turned on my way out and said "I GUESS WE CAN"T GET WAITED ON HERE" loud enough for them to hear it and walked out the door to go IHOP. A friend of mine has had similar experiences with service while dining there. Twice he made it to a table but, that is as far as it went. He was never waited on, so he got up and left. He has already told me that he won't be back and neither will I. I hope that you hired help runs your buisness into the ground. "YOU DESERVE...
Read moreI tried their brunch burger, which comes loaded with a hand-cracked over-easy egg, hash browns, chopped bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and mayo all on a grilled brioche bun. The real highlight for me was that brioche bun—definitely a five-star element. It was just delicious on its own
Good tasting fries as well🍟
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; almost everyone said hello when I came in, which was a nice touch. If you’re a soda fan, they’ve got some unique options like a cherry vanilla cream Pepsi that I found delicious. The orange creamsicle soda wasn’t my thing, but it’s nice they have a variety. Overall, it’s a great spot for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the area.
I ate again here three days later and they remembered me and said glad to have you back so quickly which makes you feel valued. Always nice touch. My first day I did have a few people Just breeze by asking how the new guy was doing. So nice to be valued and seen as someone. I feel like one guy was the cook. Happy to spend money here again friendly employees and...
