I was in two weeks ago with a variety of items, including a gold coin. When I got home and looked at Chelle’s paperwork I knew immediately something was wrong. I immediately sent her an email asking for more detailed response. I called and left her a msg on Monday, discussed my concerns and said we would like to buy back a few things including the gold coin. Magically from 2:30pm Saturday until Monday morning the items had already been sent to her associate in Florida! She agreed to talk to her associate and get back to me. More days passed. I sent her another email stating she was leaving me no choice but to take legal steps. A series of texts from her followed but no explanation on where my items were. She also sent another recap which did not include all the items she bought. Another reviewer here noted when he got home he realized he had not been fairly compensated for a gold coin. And that was before gold was at its highest price in history. We are moving ahead to take whatever steps we can to retrieve our items or at least receive the proper compensation. According to the attorney general’s office this unprecedented gold rush has indeed created issues. Of course we will update this review as things develop, including if Chelle does the...
Read moreAs a social studies teacher, I have some quirky history-related interests. A few weeks ago, my son slipped on some ice at school and the dentist told me that he will be losing his first tooth sooner than anticipated. When I called Midwest Coin and Jewelry, she immediately said she wanted to help me out, despite the fact that it isn't part of her regular business. We set an appointment and then, when I arrived, she presented me with some amazing options... for free.
I am a single mom of a 5 year old and this type of kindness goes a long way. Someday, when he is much, much older, I will fondly tell my boy about this experience.
We talked for a while about history, coins, and my son. I found her to be kind, knowledgable, and honest. I wish I had more business I could...
Read moreAfter many years of holding onto my dad‘s coin collection, I finally decided to go and engage with a coin dealer to sell it. Based on reviews my first stop was Midwest Coin & Collectables and what a good choice. Although I did not have an appointment Rochelle, the owner, was able to fit me in between her other appointments. Rochelle was wonderful, taking the time to explain and walk me through the value of the collection. Her expertise, engaging demeanor and patience made me feel comfortable and confident in the quotes and her business. It is a pleasure to recommend Midwest Coin & Collectables and owner, Rochelle, to anyone looking to sell coins or precious metals. A great...
