ARTS-Us/Dunning Recreation Center Rental Facility — Attraction in Saint Paul

I rate this facility to be the worst experience I have ever had. I rented the center for my daughter's baby shower, event occurring on August 8th from 1:30 to 8:30 PM. When renting and giving a 100.00 deposit, I specifically asked if the facility would have air conditioning, parking and privacy for my guest. I remitted another 200.00 for the event, two weeks prior to the event. I was again assured that there will be no other events going on, and all that I asked for was no problem.. I got none of this! I got guest who had no where to park, subsequently having to drop gifts off, guest being threatened by officers for tickets, no air conditioning, people in and out of the event from a soccer game at Central High School. The Maintenance/Caretaker, allowed others in to get tables and chairs, letting people in to the facility , who eventually ended up in my private event. Upon my request for at least some air conditioning from the Maintenance worker, he stated to me, "she said you don't get air because you got a discount". I asked who was she, he responded, 'the person in charge". I informed him that I dealt with someone named Joe, he stated, "he is nobody". I was livid by this time! I was not allowed air conditioning because I got a discount! Jimmy Lee offers rooms for 15.00, with air and privacy but they were all taken. If you need to rent a room, do not rent from this facility. It is not clean, we had to bring disinfectants to clean tables, and the round tables were not working. We had to clean the counters in the kitchen,(we did not use the kitchen, fixed food at our residence, but to set-up, you would think they would have it at least clean!); floors filthy and the place had an odor, so we had to get air fresheners throughout! They do not deliver and are very unprofessional and rude, not to mention, asking for your food and coming in and out of the event!! This is what Dunning gave me! My daughter was upset and nearly in tears, she was uncomfortable because it was so hot!! My event was totally ruined!! I am requesting every dime of my monies returned, without further...

i have rented this place for several different events i have had no problems, staff was good we had one issues at one event and they were very apologetic I write them for stars because of this my only issue is never can get anybody on the phone never always have to...

We have rented in the past with no problem air conditioning was working and no problem with parking I'm going to rent again staff was very helpful in everything's will be posting on how the next event...
