Macalester College — Attraction in Saint Paul

In the spring of my senior year of high school, I did a self guided 10 minute tour of Macalester with my mom (after applying to Mac on a whim). I saw a guy in overalls with crazy socks and crocs walking around campus and told my mom "I think I should go here." Macalester was not part of the plan, but I am so happy and grateful it became my home. Some of the best people on the planet are found here and they will challenge you and help you grow. I am continually inspired by my classmates and friends post-grad for how they are co-creating a world that is more just and sustainable. So much love...

Beautiful campus - especially in the fall! I love being able to go on runs by the Mississippi River and go to concerts in the Twin Cities. The people are also some of the most dedicated and engaged individuals I've ever met. My first year floormates remain some of my closest friends to this day. I also still keep in touch with professors. They are so accessible and really want to see you succeed! During my time at Mac, I had multiple professors invite me to their homes and take time to get to know me outside of the classroom. I can't say enough about this wonderful College that educated my beautiful daughter, 1996 graduate. I was proud when she was admitted and still am today as I realize her education was both academic and social. Her Mac.
