JavaRoma — Restaurant in Salem

Jave Roma is by far the best coffee drive up place I have found around here. Quality coffee and ingredients. The lady that normally works the mornings during the week is incredible!! Seriously provides the best service. It's not just coffee she gives each customer a great experience with a fantastic smile. I went there this morning 2/28 for a coffee and there was a guy (he's awesome) and a girl that always seems to be in a bad mood. She never smiles or interacts with anyone in a friendly manner. When I pull up a lot of the time I hear her making comments about how she doesn't want to help me or asking other people to take me even though I've never have done anything to her. She made my coffee today and it was really bad. I'm not sure if it was on purpose but it tasted like there was no coffee in it and just a ton of Carmel syrup. She took my order and ask the nice guy deal with me as if I was an inconvenience to her life😂 She doesn't represent the business well at all in my opinion. When she's there I just want drive off because she's so unwelcoming. I would hate to leave less than a 4 star review because literally the entire crew except her is phenomenal so it sucks have 1 person bring everyone else down. I want the owner to see this feedback so she knows what her customers feel when they are forced to try to interact with her. It shouldn't feel like an inconvenience to pay for coffee. Huge shout put to the rest. They deserve to he rewarded...

Nine times out of ten I always get great service and great coffee. I often drive about ten minutes out of my way home to get a coffee here. However, whomever the woman is with the accent (Ukrainian?) ALWAYS messes up my order to the point I have to throw my drink away; and I'm not picky. This last visit, I asked for a peanut butter mocha. Instead it tasted like an awful gingerbread. When I asked about it, she stated she must have accidentally used chai mix instead. When I accepted her offer to remake it, she tried it, stated it was fine, and refused to remake it, then told me "I hope you enjoy it". I ended up throwing the drink out and driving all the way to Bentley's. I'm sure this is just a matter of retraining or perhaps something that can be easily fixed with spot-checking, but if this continues I won't be able to keep wasting my money here on drinks that regrettably get thrown away. I love this place because it’s not a huge chain. I absolutely love the ladies that work here, normally I recommend this coffee shop to everyone I talk to but I have recently moved out to south salem (and yes I’ll drive all the way there as often as I can lol) so when I go there it is sometimes later in the afternoon and for some reason the afternoon crew seems to have a different quality of drinks, which is the only reason this is a 4 out of 5. In the morning the shot is perfectly poured, the coffee is spot on and amazing every time. But the afternoon shift the shot is poured to where it sometimes tastes burnt, or the coffee is just bland with not a lot of flavor.
