I've shopped here before, no problem. I came in today already knowing what I wanted to purchase. I was making friendly conversation with one of the staff members and she very quickly held up her hand in a "stop" manner and pointed at a sign and said, "Read the sign!" I read the sign and was just baffled at how she cut me off mid-sentence just to point that sign out to me as if I were going to talk about the forbin "devils lettuce." I just looked at her and finished my sentence since what she thought I was going to say was inaccurate. It was very rude. I can appreciate she was doing her job but at the same time, this was very poor customer service. It made me feel uncomfortable to shop there and to be honest I wish I had went somewhere else to spend my $65. But I knew what I wanted and figured to just get it while I was there. This one bad experience ruined it for me. Please encourage your staff to learn "do's" and "don'ts" - as well as how to appropriately correct a customer without jumping to conclusions before a customer can finish a sentence. I understand you're doing your job, but part of your job is customer service. Do it well. If a customer says something against policy, correct them AFTER and direct them to the sign.
UPDATE: After speaking with the manager, I feel a lot better about the situation. He listened and had a positive attitude/response which in the end, is why I gave it a higher star rating than when I first rated this as review as a "2". I handed it to the guy, and he handed it back, and said to charge it. I didn't think that was right, but wasn't comfortable arguing with the guy about how to do his job. I also thought since it's a small place, I was just in there, and I did what he told me to do, they'd make it right if it didn't charge. WRONG! I called up there and got the guy, but he passed me off to the manager. I explained the situation to her, and she just stated their policy. I followed their policy, their employee clearly didn't know what protocol to follow. They ripped me off and I'll never be back. It was mentioned they couldn't refund me, because "upper management " would want to know why. I don't understand, your employee made a mistake, that's the why.
